Topic: Final Fantasy IV (Pixel Remaster) - Cave of Trials

Banjo-

I beat the game and completed everything, so I'm trying to access the Cave of Trials since it's the only thing left. All walkthroughs tell you to visit Mysidia and talk to the characters not present in your party, then go to Mount Ordeals where the Cave of Trials will be unlocked. However, when I talk to the characters, there is no option to swop anyone. When I go to Cave of Trials, no event is unlocked. What am I missing?

The Pixel Remasters are faithful to the original versions, content-wise. As the Cave of Trials was a new addition for the GBA version of Final Fantasy IV, it is not included in the Pixel Remaster.

The PR version of FFIV is based strictly on the SNES release so it has none of the bonus content of the later releases(like the Cave of Trials)

I hope Square will re-release the GBA versions of FF 1-2, 4-6 with the bonus dungeons. Surprised they haven’t done it already.

@Banjo- The Cave of Trails was only in the GBA version of the game only. It's not in the original games, releases on the PSone or even the Pixal Remaster.

Thank you! Then, I have done everything. I got my last achievements today (on Xbox). Summon Collector was annoying because of the Bomb summon, which I got in the Eastern Tunnel on the Moon, following another player's advice. I used that summon in my last battle to get the last bestiary entry, Zemus's Mind. I have been completing the pixel remasters 100%, the first four games so far. I've enjoyed all of them because of the quality of life features and orchestrated soundtrack. I had played I on GBA and the 3D remake of IV on DS.
