My Switch2 arrived today from Very, however when I unpacked the system both plastic seals on the sleeve box were broken. Everything inside appears to be in order and functional however.
Has anybody else noticed this?
@robe I got my switch 2 at a store. I can say for those consoles, Nintendo didn't seal the box or the plastic bags that the joycons and switch tablet are slid into. They just fold over the end plastic bags.
@robe Mine was from John Lewis, same thing. I didn't notice anything missing, my World code worked and the device worked, so kinda figured it must have happened in transit, but it looked like it had been cut more than it looked like it broke by accident.
At least youre not like those Switch 2 pre orders posted over reddit that some idiot gamestops were using a staple gun on to staple the receipts with the proper stamp numbers on them, which resulted in countless units that had their screens seriously damaged from the marks the staples made on the Switch 2 screens. The screenshots people are posting are simultaneously hilarious and sad. If i was them id be livid and force gamestop to comp my system.
Got mine from Shopto, seals also broken. Contents absolutely fine. It seems to be so widespread I wonder if it was done by or at the request of Nintendo?
I had the same where both seals were cut. It might be that the shops verify the contents of each box, due to the recent problems with console boxes ( PS5 I believe ) from a China factory arriving without the console but some random "weighted" items.
Got mine from Very, box seals were broken and the back panel of the joy-con grip wasn't connected properly at the top, I had to push the plastic in to clip it in place, thought it was a bit strange but nothing was damaged, box in perfect condition, probably just a manufacturing blip, no big deal.
