My 3DS SD card corrupted on me... I did not have it backed up on my computer... My question is if I get a new SD card and then copy the old SD card (with the corrupted data) to the new one, will the files copy as corrupted, or is that just the flaw of my old SD card?...
There's a possibility the 3DS file system on the old card could be corrupted, but it's still worth a shot trying. If the file system isn't corrupted and your PC can still read the card, then it'll likely work. Good luck!
@6ch6ris6: corrupted usually means the data on a storage media (e.g. SD card) is no longer reliably accessible (sometimes a PC reads it, sometimes it can't) or any device that tries to read the data gives an error. Could be physically damaged, sometimes even factory defect.
Thanks for the response! Just to let people know, my computer could read the SD card, and when the files were copied to the new SD card, they copied with the corruption and my 3DS could not read them... I lost a lot of save data and had to re-download all my games... it's definitely worth backing up those cards!
