Nintendo should buy out the majority of the Suez Canal shares, that'll keep them economically competitive for a good while.
I heard some government tried doing something like that in the 50's, and the only reason it didn't go super terribly for them was some other more powerful governments intervened before it got out of hand.
I don't think LBP would really fit onto any Nintendo platform, either technically (Wii U would probably work, but who knows) or in ideology.
People take a quick look at LBP and say it's a platform game. It's not. LBP is a tool. An incredibly powerful too. The things talented people can create with that tool are amazing. Sadly, most people aren't that talented in that department (or don't have the patience to put the time in to improve) and the platform game that comes bundled with the creator is pretty average. This means that LBP is a fantastic tech demo, but it just doesn't really have mass market appeal and that is why Nintendo wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.
You're right on the money. It's why I'm not a big fan of the game, but it's also why I see it's so critically lauded. I did like playing through some of the player created levels in my PSP version though. There was one Metroid level that was pretty cool.
