Top-down roguelike action game Metal Dogs is coming to Switch next year, but only in Japan, publisher Kadokawa and developer 24Frame have announced.
The game is all about three dogs — Pochi the Shiba Inu, Bell the Doberman, and Bonanza the Bulldog — who live in a post-apocalyptic world in which most of humanity is dead, and monsters rule the world. "Monsters" is a loose definition of your foes, since they include a giant tank called "Rommel Ghost" and an armoured rhino called "Missileceros". Also, the dogs have guns.

Alongside a digital and physical edition, there will also be a "Woof-Woof-Woof Duffle Edition", which comes with a duffle bag and a physical version of the game's soundtrack, and a "Bow Wow Wonderful Edition", which comes with a dog-themed tote bag, a limited edition box, and the CD soundtrack.
The base game will cost 3,900 yen (£26 / $34.50) in Japan, and releases on the 8th of April, 2022.

The publisher of this game should also accept payment in both Dogecoin and SHIB.
Yep you can tell this is from japan.🤣
This game is "perron", XD
(is a Spanish-latin joke, XD)
"A weapon to surpass the metal gear?"
Seriously though, if Kojima didn't break up with Konami this would eventually happen in a metal gear, eventually.
Oh wait metal what now?
@HotGoomba Or bazookas and mortars on some of the larger breeds.
So this is what the Nintendogs have been up to.
Now that K-9 power to the max.... lol
Doge with guns meme incoming
Ha, dogs can't qualify for gun license! That's so dubious.😉
@AW1Long how I wish that they could do that in some places I’ve seen them eaten.
Brings back memories of Lupus from "Jet Force Gemini".
Not the game we wanted, but the game we needed
