Update: The Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town Game Trial is now live. If you're subscribed to Nintendo Switch Online, make sure to get the game downloaded and give it a go!
Original Article (Wed 3rd Nov, 2021 15:00 GMT): Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in Europe will soon be able to check out Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town for free for a limited time.
Marvelous' farming sim is the latest title to be offered up as a Game Trial (events that let Switch Online subscribers download and play a full game for a set amount of time). The game was actually offered as a free trial in North America back in September, so it's nice to see that fans in Europe can also jump in to check it out.
This Game Trials offer will be live from 10th - 16th November, but you can already go ahead and get the software downloaded now. Unlike a typical free demo, you can play the entire game without restrictions – until the Game Trial period ends, of course.
You can find our full review of Pioneers of Olive Town right here if you'd like to learn what it's all about before diving in. To get the trial downloaded, make sure you're signed in with an account subscribed to Nintendo's online service and head to the 'Nintendo Switch Online' section of the eShop.

Looks like Anti-Matter fodder, lol
These game trials are at times the real major benefit of NSO but sometimes the games are a bit and miss. Glad they still do this for the base membership rather than making it an expansion pass thing (even less reason to upgrade)
I tried from USA shop and I bought it
enjoy that free PoOT!
And now Europeans can see how poorly Marvelous treats its once proud franchise.
This game is poorly made.
Cute but I'm sticking to Animal Crossing thank you very much
A paywalled game trial? What will Nintendo add a paywall to next? Using your own legs, breathing oxygen or just ... using your phone?
Wow, they're putting it again! It's a very cool relaxing game. I'll continue my file with my kids.
@WhiteUmbrella These trials were always part of NSO, that's nothing new. Without it these trials wouldn't exist.
I know its a minor thing but the trial moved the game to the front of my library and now I have to look at it again and remember that I bought it on release and almost never played it >_<
