In this completely silly run of bite-sized features, we're going to write a new version of '12 Days of Christmas' with a Nintendo twist that will, hopefully, be good enough to sing.
Eight Malons Milking
The original line is "eight maids-a-milking", so our minds immediately turned to Lon Lon Milk and Malon, who plays a relatively important role in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Your suggestions were certainly considered, especially '8 Players Smashing', but we couldn't help but go a little retro once again.
So far, then, our song is as follows:
On the First day of Christmas Nintendo sent to me,
A big chair in a Pear Tree.On the Second day of Christmas Nintendo sent to me,
Two Koopa Troopas
and a big chair in a Pear TreeOn the Third day of Christmas Nintendo sent to me,
Three angry cuccos
Two Koopa Troopas
and a big chair in a Pear TreeOn the Fourth day of Christmas Nintendo sent to me,
Four calling Chatots
Three angry cuccos
Two Koopa Troopas
and a big chair in a Pear TreeOn the Fifth day of Christmas Nintendo sent to me,
FIVE SONIC RINGS
Four calling Chatots
Three angry cuccos
Two Koopa Troopas
and a big chair in a Pear TreeOn the Sixth day of Christmas Nintendo sent to me,
Six Yoshis Laying
FIVE SONIC RINGS
Four calling Chatots
Three angry cuccos
Two Koopa Troopas
and a big chair in a Pear TreeOn the Seventh day of Christmas Nintendo sent to me,
Seven Cheep Cheeps Swimming
Six Yoshis Laying
FIVE SONIC RINGS
Four calling Chatots
Three angry cuccos
Two Koopa Troopas
and a big chair in a Pear TreeOn the Eighth day of Christmas Nintendo sent to me,
Eight Malons Milking
Seven Cheep Cheeps Swimming
Six Yoshis Laying
FIVE SONIC RINGS
Four calling Chatots
Three angry cuccos
Two Koopa Troopas
and a big chair in a Pear Tree
Be sure to share your suggestions for additional lyrics in the comments below; a classic Christmas song will be born.

9 Shantaes Dancing? I know she isn't directly Nintendo, but neither is Sonic
9 Mayors dancing (from AC - club LOL)
8 Triforce Shards would have been better.
So there are a lot of Malons in Zelda? (I'm not familiar) She only appeared on 5 Zelda games according to Wiki. It doesn't make sense.
@Dipper723
There has to be a connection with Maids or Milking.
After a few good ideas (thanks for the mention on 8 players smashing Thomas) I've got nothing for today......
9 knights a lancing?
9 Ninian Dances?
@BensonUii Okay
@Dipper723
Actually Tom didn't say any rule about it so disregard what I said. I've only called it based on the lyrics so far. Plus he even considered Players and Smashing which have no connection to the original lyrics at all.
'9 villagers dancing' is my suggestion for tomorrow, for the Animal Crossing love.
I have nothing for the next one.
Maybe 9 Miis are dancing (in Tomodachi Life)
9 Toad ADancing
9 Nabbits Chancing
Done in the tune of Relient K's "12 Days of Christmas".
I'm slightly bothered by the syllables not fitting with the original song. But I like it anyway.
Breaking my own rule horrifically: "9 hours, persons and doors!"
I SUGGESTED THAT! I FEEL SPECIAL!!! XD
The older guys standing next to Malon look like Mario and Luigi. Never noticed that before. Maybe its the red and green shirts.
@dok5555555 my thoughts exactly
9 runbow men a dancing!
9 Meloetta Dancing
@BensonUii Let's be honest, most of the inhabitants of Hyrule get reborn again and again, so I think 8 is understating.
@AlexOlney
7 Yoshis laying eggs together is possible because there are different Yoshis. Could you see 8 Malons though? Did or could multiple Malons appear in a game? Did Mario gave her some double cherries?
Anyway, since 8 players smashing was considered, then 9 Players Smashing is possible for the 9th day then because there are millions of players in Smash and numbers don't mean anything.
9 Fis dancing
9 Links Dancing

@BensonUii
Dat glitch...
@BensonUii where did that come from?
What, no ninth day? Are you stuffing the turkey already? Or watching Strictly?
