I just wanted to talk about Pokémon cards so…

I enjoyed the game...nearly twenty-five years ago when I last played a match. It was an interesting distraction from MTG. Now Pokemon cards are a product focused on financial gains, shifting profits rather than playing the game itself.

I never got into them myself - loved the game boy game, but the cards were always a bit too expensive a hobby for my mum, and later my adult self, to justify.

I do love the art on them and the game itself is fun, and in recent years I've been lucky enough to have enough disposable income to consider getting into it for the collecting side of it. I don't really care about their financial value, it'd just be nice to have some. Unfortunately a bunch of gold-rush idiots on the internet have been kind of ruining that for everyone lately. Ah well.
