@Danksparce Final Fantasy XII was only available on the PlayStation 3 so, other than PC, why would it (currently) be on any other format?
Why would the new Kingdom Hearts be on Xbone? To make more money. Also you meant ps2, not ps3. Also XII had a spinoff which was DS exclusive, so asking for it to come to a Nintendo console isn't completely out of the question. Hell, that FF 7 remake has been rumored to be multiconsole for quite some time now, and that was a PSx (and PC) exclusive.
I feel exactly the same way. Ever since Final Fantasy XIII and its two (arguably) unnecessary sequels, I begun to slowly fall out of love with Square. I enjoyed playing the Final Fanatsy XV demo however, it felt somewhat hollow and soulless.
I would rather have had a HD remake of XI put so many hours/days into that game lol. XII and XIII are the only FF games I started and never cared enough to finish.
I'm loving how everyone on the internet is saying how much they love this game. A year ago if I mentioned XII I would have been meet with "Mehs" and "Ewws". Now I am not alone.
That's really nice, even though I never played the game yet. Now I'm not sure if I should either get the original PS2 version or leave it until much later when I get a much more powerful PC.
I heard the PS2 version had a controller bug too. :/
I'll be getting this in physical form and putting it on the shelf next to my steelbook of XII for PS2.
The plot is kind of boring, but the gameplay itself is awesome, especially when you get near the end and start hunting down increasingly challenging marks.
This being on PS4 also means it'll add trophy support!
@DarthNocturnal Heh, if I have to suffer through Yiazmat again, I want something lasting for my trouble. That battle is a slog!
@Octane I'd recommend one of the older games. IV - VII and IX are all excellent, and will give you a sense of why this franchise is so legendary and how people can manage to muster excitement for a new entry even after the disaster that was XIII.
FFXII is excellent, but it's very different from other FF games.
@Octane Well, nobody knows if the remake is even going to be any good. The original is a classic, though, and one of the most important video games of all time. You can get it on PSP, PS Vita, PS3, PS4, and PC as a download.

Gamers are an interesting bunch, aren't they? The power of remasters are strong.
To blessed to be stressed.
80's music makes me feel fabulous.
What Would Duane Do? Rynoggery
Final Fantasy fans tend to be a passionate bunch like that. Personally, I thought FFXII was okay. Flawed, but thoroughly enjoyable...which sums up my opinion of the franchise as a whole, honestly. I could drum up a laundry list of complaints for the lot of them (except for 9, since I never got far in that one), as well as a lot of things to love. Heck, even the complaints can be quirks in the right light. Each game is different from the last, and they always challenge me to mute my expectations while I try to find the good in them. FFXII did that more than most, since it dumped a lot of series conventions even on a basic level.
