Topic: Mary Skelter 2 coming to switch

Anyone playing yet....? Stupid question but how do I access Nightmares, since that's supposed to be included?

After completing MS2, which is a prequel to Nightmares.

Seems kind of stupid to make it where you can't play the original until completely finishing the expanded sequel.

Yeah, I did want to play Nightmares 1st, really, @Ralizah .... But if 2 is a prequel, I guess it does make sense

I'm waiting for the physical version, so I won't get it until March at least, which is when I'll be busy with Animal Crossing

Interesting because the eshop version allows you to start either one...

Apparently you can't start the first game before finishing the second, unless you get the DLC that overrides it, and that DLC is free. Seems entirely pointless to me, but maybe someone more educated in all things gaming can make sense of it.

@Manah Oh. So, you can just download something for free that makes the first game playable from the start?

Where are you getting this from, if you don't mind my asking?

I downloaded the free DLC last night. Four sets are costumes and items, one unlocks the first game. It's called "Game Item" and the description says it unlocks the first game immediately.

. It’s in tiny print on the screen but you press R or L I believe.

@Manah Thanks! Good to know. I was bummed out that the game would keep me from playing the original first, but it sounds like that's easily fixable.

I am waiting for the LRG release to play the game but I also did buy the Japan version that was later told only in Japanese. That was a disappointment.

So bumping this thread because it's currently on sale on US eShop.

Was considering getting it, but actually really put off by some of the 'fan service'. Some of the screens look really gross / inappropriate. Is this a thing that can be turned off or is optional, or does playing through the game necessitate me looking at incompletely dressed pre-teens? Because if so, this is a pass for me.
