My first Gameboy was stolen. I lent it to this kid named Greg, who then supposedly had it stolen off him, but his mum lived on welfare so they could never pay me back for it. I still think that kid has my Gameboy, and it was all a scam that he said some other kid stole it. Pretty much everything that I've ever lent to anyone has never been returned or took years of pestering to get it back only to come back in terrible condition, so I never lend anything to anyone anymore as a rule.
I have a feeling my Pokemon Pearl cart was stolen. I "lost" it about a year ago, and haven't found it since.
I also "lost" my new issue of Ninty Power on a recent camping trip with some friends who don't have a subscription to NP and are always bugging me to let them read it. I never even got to read much of it.
My cousin used to try to steal stuff from me all the time by borrowing it, and telling me that he gave it to my Dad. It never really worked because obviously I could ask my dad if he received the game. That was a long time ago, around the N64 days.
Several years ago, I was going to my piano lesson and I put my bag down for a moment, which had my books and my GBA SP in it (It wasn't a knapsack, I had to carry it with my hands, it was uncomfortable). A minute or 2 later, we kept going - once we got there, I realised I'd left my bag behind!
I always put my DSi in my piano bag, even when I go inside stores and stuff. I never really thought that people would look into it though...
I do always try to make sure to keep my valuables out of view when I'm getting out of my car. I also have to individually lock each door every time I leave it, but sometimes I forget.
Never been robbed before but if it happens,I am screwed. I wouldn't be able to get anything back due to having no money.
Stupid recession. I mean really, can anyone here tell me when it will end?

My cousin always steals my Mario Kart DS when he goes to a tech camp or something. Then when I find out and take it back he says its his friend's. But I have ways of knowing its mine (thank you one friendcode can only work on one DS rule ).
Dude...peeps that steal from a freakin Goodwill need to have a special place reserved for them in hell. I'm just sayin...
At any rate, when I was 18 I was pretty independent. I had my own house, car, and plenty of bills to go along with all that. My closest relative lived nearly 700 miles away so I was feeling all responsible-like. One night I rolled out to the grocery store around 8:00pm and left the garage open since I was only going to be gone for a few minutes. I got back to find the laundry-room door kicked in and I was missing a stereo, leather jacket, some casette tapes and a few other minor things. Nothing too expensive. I had a cat and a dog and they were both freaked. (Great guard dog, eh?) Turns out the guy that broke in found a couple of backpacks and was filling them up with stuff. Apparently he couldn't carry them both so he left one of them in the garage. I can only assume he was going to come back for it later, but I got home first and ruined his little plan.
Of course none of my neighbors heard/saw anything. While I waited nearly 4 freaking hours for the police to show up, a group of guys rolled up. It turns out there was a community watch in the next neighborhood over and they were part of it. After talking with them for a bit, I started a community watch in my neighborhood and we sorta "joined forces". We stopped a few house and car break-ins, but the people who's belongings we helped protect would NEVER join the community watch themselves. Freaking lazy asses. It was pretty fun though!
One night while I was "on duty" this dude walked up to my car and asked me if I wanted to buy some casette tapes. He showed one and it was a rock band that I liked but this guy was a bit of a sleaze ball and I didn't really want anything to do with him. A few hours later I came to the realization that the tape he showed me was one of the ones I had stolen from my home a few months prior. I didn't see the dude again for a while, but one night he showed back up and was missing a leg. Turns out he got hit by a train while he was walking on the tracks and it took his leg off.

I feel bad for you man. When my sister's GBC was stolen, I went nuts. And when I lent a friend of mine a DS Card, he lost it. I forced him to give me one of his. AND I WILL NEVER LEND MY CONSOLES TO ANYONE. ANYONE.
About 5 years ago I was at my grandma's house and all my cousins were there (I have a LOT of cousins) and I had brought my gameboy advance and some games. At the time I was working on DK country and I was really close to finishing it, it was going to be the first GBA game I ever completed. I put my games in their case and I put them in a room while I played with my cousins, when it was time to go I got my games and opened the case to give back a game I was borrowing while I was there and I noticed DK country was gone! We looked everywhere for it but we didn't find it. It's still missing even now. I still think a certain one of my cousins stole it.
I actually have a gaming related theft story. At school this kid borrowed two SNES games - Bart's Nightmare and a Loony Toons game in exchange for F-Zero and Secret of Mana. Anyway the kid eventually asked for his games back so said "sure, can you bring mine back tommorow"? He responded to say he had sold them!
How cheeky is that!? Borrowing some games off someone, selling them, then asking for yours back? Honestly I can't believe some people. He didn't ever get his games back incase you're wondering.
once i was in an arcade and i put a $20 dollar bill in the token machine and some jerk came over and took like half the tokens before i could i pick them up
oh yeah, and my cousin lost 4 GBAs, 2 were stolen, 2 were lost
My brother was in co op when he was in high school so he got out early. I was in jr. high so I was there all day. I would come home and all my money I had hid would be gone and things my grandpa gave me as a kid he sold to pawn shops. He was a ************************************************* ( well you get the idea ). That was many years ago and to this day I still do not trust him. He is well into his 30's now and 30 is knocking down my door soon. To this day me and my parents still do not believe 90% of the stuff he says.
So far only my Kirby 64 and my first Game Boy Advance was stolen, everything else i still have but even so it hurt when memories pop up about a game or system you once have that are now gone.
