just want to know if the games any good as i liked mario party 8 so is it any different?

It's the next best Mario Party after the N64 ones. It's quite good.

The game collection is nice, the boards work, lots of luck-based crock has been removed.

The biggest fault with the game though is that duels are still luck-based crock though

Its a fun one. I would not say its better then the the GC ones. Multi player gets old fast, and the game is short.

I think it's a fantastic multiplayer game, way more fun than 1 - 8.

Also, my sister completed the single player story mode as all 8 characters!

Here is how I see the Mario Party's (4-8):
MP4: Nothing special, just another Mario Party.
MP5: Sucked; I hate it the most.
MP6: Day and night; I loved that idea!
MP7: Ok this might have not had any special features, but I found it the best
MPDS: Boring quick easy game; Normal
MP8: Major Disapointment

I've tried two Mario Party games (DS and MP 4) and I definitely like this one better. The minigames are better and the boards are better too. That said, we don't play it that often anymore, but for now I'm keeping it around. We had a lot of fun playing this one as a family.

That's an interesting opinion, as I found 7 thoroughly terrible, well except for a single fun minigame.

I owned Mario Party 8, and really didn't enjoy it. Recently picked up Mario Party DS, and it is fantastic. It's got a great pick-up-and-play aspect about it, I didn't feel with MP8. I love that you can play with up to 4 people on just one cart, so when my gf brings over her DS, fun times are had by all. Like somebody else said, its as great as the N64 titles.

I dont know why, but I found 7 the best. Maybe it is because it was my first MP. Who knows?

It's a lot of fun, and being able to play multiplayer with download play is great.

It's definitely better than that garbage that's Mario Party Advance.

Mario Party DS is my 4th favorite Mario Party game it's not as great as the N64 Classics but better then the Gamecube ones and GBA version, play it a lot during my break before going to class plus multiplayer itself is awesome since it's portable i can play with friends anywhere (only one Game card required the other 3 DS download play).
