Re: Breath of the Wild Developers Discuss the Zelda Timeline

Anga

I have only played a few Zelda games, but I feel that this game is really far from the others (the closest being Oot imo). We've seen the Sheikah technology that is extremely advanced and no one in the game (apart from Impa and her sister[in a way]) knows how this technology existed. Also, the game mentions that all the hatred that has existed withing Ganondorf is ready to give a final stance to rule the world and that's the appearance of Dark Beast Ganon, which is all that evil passed down. I feel like this game is on its own timeline in the end of The Legend of Zelda series. I may be wrong since there are many Zelda games that I still have to play, but I believe that this is in the end of all the other games (with a possible 10,000 year void between the last game in the timeline before BotW came). I'd like to hear more about other games to know and I'd love to learn about the beautiful game that Zelda is.

I haven't played XC2, but from my experience, Super Mario Odyssey is GOTY. It has such a beatiful artwork, amazing music, an extraordinary progress in the story, and it's totally different from any other Mario game I've played (almost every game since the DS).
The Legend of Zelda has been a blast, having over 125 hours of fun playing this. It's a totally new experience for new players and already existing Zelda fans. It was very relaxing to play; everything was at your own pace, however you wanted to do it. I was just a bit disappointed on spoiler Dark Beast Ganon, since it was only a huge form that never targeted you or anything, though the story and all that happened to Zelda makes up for it.
Both games are the very best I've played in a long time, and if Mario launched in 2018 it would have won GOTY. My winner is SMO.

Re: Here’s Why Traditional Dungeons Got Axed in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

I'm fairly new to the Zelda series, as I've only played 3 Zelda games besides BotW. In my opinion, this dungeon system is better than the one in Ocarina of Time (being in a dungeon for hours). Though, I would prefer about 5 main dungeons and, instead of 120+ shrines, about 50-80 slightly longer shrines. This shrine system works out really well and complements perfectly to the huge map it has, but if they were to make another Zelda open-world I would like it to be just a bit smaller with less shrines, but being a bit longer than the ones in BotW. Just my 2 cents.

So that's why there's a discount on the eShop...
I was interested in purchasing the game, it's very attractive and I've never owned it, but I would prefer to wait some months and get the game for $20 fully-polished, than to buy it with low resolution.
PS: I don't frequently play online amd I have no experience with the game, would you guys still recommend me to get it?

Re: Poll: Surprise! A New Zelda Is In Development, But What Do You Want From It?

Anga

I trust Nintendo on this, and I support this series as it is just so magical.
Personally, I would like to see these on a next Zelda game:
-Open-world, slightly smaller than BotW
-Longer (and a few more) dungeons
-A deeper relationship between Link and Zelda
-Bigger and newer cities
-A slightly more modern world
-GANONDORF
-A bit darker (not as much as MM/TP)
-Keep food and different outfits
-Make Link directly a Knight, probably leading the military or defense of Hyrule Castle.

Those are things that I would love to see in the next game, hopefully there will be some in the new game.
