@RustedHero you are right. I didnt have an n64 or a snes growing up. I had a sega and a playstation. So I missed a lot of the hype with Mario 64.

I did try playing it on virtual console on the wii and quit. With this collection I decided I am going to play all 3 start to finish. It took me 3 days to beat 64 and it was filled with rage.

I did have a gamecube and sunshine and LOVED galaxy. I started sunshine yesterday and so far so good it is what I remember, but I am sure that it will have its moments.

That being said I am 100% with you to not judge an old game by today's standards and I maintain that I do see the greatness that would have been there originally. BUT it would be hard to say it hasn't aged poorly.

I got all 120 stars, that was a first for me with 64, but i think it will also be one of those things that never happens for me again for fear of my controller going through a wall.
