Yes, but it might just be Themes. Dr. Mario just came out and isn't there another game from the Micro Direct set to come out soon? Not sure if we will get another last minute thing. maybe a special Animal Crossing New Leaf item to celebrate the new game coming later this year.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
DLC is the odd one out there because it's actually a good thing. Games with no DLC generally end up with a very short lifespan like Splatoon would've had a lifespan of about 3 hours if it had no DLC.
For Splatoon yes, because it's free. I mean, most companies still don't get the concept of DLC, charging 5 bucks for a costume isn't good DLC. Smash does this as well... On the other hand, Mario Kart 8 got it right.
Guess I should have been more clear in terms of Nintendo's DLC approach outside of Smash's costumes. I've found the MK8 and Hyrule Warriors DLC the best value for money (and with the Wind Waker announcement think that I still won't have Hyrule Warriors 100% by the end of this year).
As for @shingi_70's question, yes but mainly DLC preorders (e.g. MK8 DLC bundle 2 featuring packs 3 and 4).
Hopefully all these Pre-E3 announcements mean they will show actual Gameplay at E3.
Come on, it's 2015, there's no way that's gonna happen.
Sad but true.
Except with Nintendo.
Ugh Nintendo, it's 2015, get with the times and give us our CG trailers, DLC, and Microtransactions already!
And since they're a major Japanese company, 90% of their games have to be re-releases. We need like 3 more Hyrule Warriors 3DS announcements if you wanna catch up with Capcom!
Tales of Zestria is now coming to the PS4 and Steam.
Well, I do believe that was Namco's way of dropping the mic.
Can't wait for all the exciting games that'll be announced next week. It's gonna be awesome! For me personally, I'm hoping for a new Metroid, a Wii U Animal Crossing, and something for Paper Mario. Of course, I'm also hyped for Smash, Mario Kart, and Splatoon DLC news, and then there's Hyrule Warriors 3DS and amiibo...gah! It's just too exciting, ha ha.

"Ratchet and Clank looks gorgeous. It seems to be a reboot as much as it is a remake"
Did anybody miss the part where they say "based on the movie"? There is apparently a movie coming, and this is just a movie tie-in (that looks pretty good though)!
I also wonder if Ubisoft finally shows a proper Beyond good and evil 2 build. If not, all their talk was just bluff!
So Banjothreeiee.com is no longer redirecting to Rare.com so people are expecting an announcement of a certain to jump back into adventure. Hoping Nintendo announces a new 3D platformer as well this E3.

Iwata can't come to E3 because Nintendo won't be announcing new hardware and there's an investors conference the week after E3 that he has to prepare for in advance.
10 bucks say that people will STILL think that the NX will be there.
There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

The industry desperately needs more 3D platformers not named 3D World. Hopefully Banjo Threeie turns out well. As for Nintendo, I have a feeling EAD Tokyo Group 2 is working on Galaxy 3, but I don't think we'll see it until next year.
WHY DO WE NEED A GALAXY 3???? Isn't one extension package (though Galaxy 2 was great, story wise it was an extension pack) good enough? We all know it will be the same as the first two. And the game will have to use the gamepad in some fashion, but it would be awkward. I think Galaxy is done. Also, I just love how people criticize Yoshi's New Island for being an extension package but keep pushing for a third extension package for Galaxy (or Galaxy 3).
And the people who do criticize Galaxy 2 for being an extension, ask for Sunshine 2.

I doubt it. Collectathon games typically take good advantage of the console's features to create unique experiences (Galaxy 2 being the exception, but only because they couldn't make it DLC). So no, it probably won't be the same as the first two. And no, the Gamepad wouldn't be an awkward control scheme, no more than the Wii Remote. Either way, the next Mario game is almost certainly collectathon, the linear platformers have been done to death and if they had any interest in continuing with them we'd have seen more DLC by now.
Retro's new game is Donkey Kong Country: Insert subtitle here and is a 3D collecthon platformer. Speaking of which Sunset Overdrie is a pretty good open world Platformer.

DK wouldn't exactly be my first choice for a collectathon, it doesn't exactly fit that genre as well. I think 3D DK would be better as something more God of War/Werehog/Knack style, a platformer with combat elements. Nintendo's never done that style period let alone this gen, so it would add more diversity to the lineup. I'd rather Nintendo use Mario, Rosalina, or a new IP for collectathons.
I'd still rather see Metroid though, this can wait until next gen.
