I have been a Nintendo fan since the beginning, but I’ve really grown tired of the gimmicky home console from Nintendo. This was supposed to be “THE” system that finally puts Nintendo at the top of competition. But what are they really giving us? A tablet with a cartridge slot we can play on our TV? This is innovative? Don’t get me started about the reappearance of the 2 piece controller. I can’t wait for the “where is the other half of my controller” arguments with the kids. I don’t think Mario, Zelda & the rest of the gang will be able to save this system. And from what I’ve read there still won’t be an Achievement/Trophy system, this will only hurt the Switch, even if you don’t care about them – other people do. I will think about buying one when my current Tablet fails and I need a new one. Or I find one on the secondary market for cheap. Really sad, I had such high hopes for Nintendo this time around.

Why the personal insults? Because Nintendo failed to produce a system worthy of next gen? Again, and really try to understand this time. I am not looking for a portable gimmick system, if i want portable i have my phone/tablet/3ds for which i have NO desire to connect to my TV! I have my HOME CONSOLES FOR THAT, you know PS4 XBOX ONE next gen stuff. You insult me because i wanted Nintendo to be great again and relevant in the next gen market? Tell me again how innovative it is to have a cartridge based Tablet that connects to a TV? You know how nintendo came up with the name switch? We all had great expectations of a great machine from nintedo - then they unveil a TV tablet - SWITCH!
Nintendo Switch is not new. It is not innovative. It is a cartridge based tablet that can connect to my TV. Maybe Nintendo should do what Sega did - stop making systems and just make games - you know for touch screen device's like a phone or tablet.
I for one was hoping Nintendo would finally move away from a gimmicky console. I was absolutely convinced Nintendo was going to release a great and powerful system and reclaim the top spot of home console gaming. Boy was I wrong! Nintendo seems fixated on gimmicks, I am tired of it. The Switch looks like a repackaged Wii U! I don't want gimmicks! I don't care about gimmicks! I just want a powerful Nintendo system, a REAL 2 hand controller and great games. Ive been with Nintendo since the beginning (Arcade, NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, WII, WII U, every single variation of Handheld - Gameboy -> NEW 3DS) but sadly for the first time in my life I will not buy this Nintendo Switch. I will continue support of my WII U and 3DS however. Before everybody hates on me, my only point is, ENOUGH WITH THE GIMMICKS NINTENDO!
