@JaxonH, If we're lucky the 3rd will be the conclusion of this arc, however they plan on doing 5 in total so we'll see (I think it's been reported that they have everything through the 4th movie's first act already filmed as they don't want the kids to age between now & then, with the 4th movie having a time skip after act 1).
But yeah, it's clear they're keeping the "avatar" theme alive by having Kiri being the physical avatar of Eywa, given that Grace's avatar body was immaculately impregnated during the failed ceremony to permanently transfer her conscious over at the end of the first movie.
I think there was some interview somewhere where James Cameron mentioned that Ney'tiri would get to see Earth in the 5th movie, so my personal guess is that Kiri will ultimately end the conflict by going to Earth and using her "Eywa powers™" to put the first steps in motion in order to restore Earth's environment & make it more sustainable again.

@jump For an adult show Velma sure acted childish Lmao!
Please don’t remind me of the Rick and morty thing, I haven’t even seen the show and I remember hearing of it. Is it as bad as I heard or? Is it just a gag, or does the mother actually get with her clone?
The show goes to inter family love making a lot as clones make love to each other, the teenage siblings have a baby together who is a recurring character called "Giant Incest Baby", there is an entire episode about one of them sleeping with their Mum etc. However my point is look at how desperate Rick And Morty is to shock yet their fans keep talking about how smart they are for watching it and if someone started talking about how outraged they are at Rick And Morty you'd look at them like an idiot. Velma draws outrage and it doesn't even need to pull the lets sleep with Mum or lets have brother and sister have a kid together card.
Wow I knew Rick and morty had shock humor, but my god what the heck did I just read!? Why? Why?
From he vary beginning Velma was already getting people upset, the one teaser they had where they proceeded to make fun on the people watching there own show, and people for missing the old scooby doo, probably wasn’t the best choice.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

Wednesday, I went over to my friend's house and he wanted to watch Trolls (Netflix), so watched that with him. One of my favorite movies, so I can't say no to watching it. It's always a good time watching a favorite with my friend (yes, he also loves Trolls like I do).
Thursday, I watched Inside Out (Disney+). It's been years since I've watched this one, forgotten how much I really like this one. It felt good seeing those emotions and Joy and Sadness' adventure all over again. Also getting choked up at Bing Bong fading. I also remember seeing this one in theaters.
Friday, Boss Baby (Netflix) was on my mom's mind for some reason, so we watched it. Another one I haven't watched in years, and we both had a good time watching it. Will never understand the hate this one gets. Not my favorite movie, but still one I did enjoy watching again. Personally, I like the sequel more, but I'm a sucker for Christmas themed movies.
Tonight, Smurfs: The Lost Village (Blu-Ray) because it's Global Smurfs Day. Another favorite, and one movie I feel is either underrated or overlooked because of the two live action Smurfs movies. It really feels like a modern version of the classic 80's cartoon. Love the story about Smurfette going on an adventure to figure out what her purpose is, as well as finding a whole village of girl Smurfs. Loved how Smurfette single handedly took out Gargamel.
That was one of my childhood movies growing up but if I ever watch the two movies back to back I’ll end up complaining that the stories are identical, from the conflict, the villains and even the final showdown itself. Characters not explaining things to protagonists engineer conflicts so easily, but this poor writing sacrifices that suspension of disbelief.
Will admit, I was expecting Morgana to straight up take Melody's voice. Melody becoming a mermaid did feel like a reverse of what they did to Ariel in the first movie. Do find it amusing I haven't experienced the straight-to-DVD stuff much, outside Fox and the Hound 2 and Lion King 1 1/2. I remember watching Lion King 1 1/2 one after buying The Lion King from GOG, but the original movie was vaulted at the time. Yeah, I don't miss the Disney Vault one bit.
@RR529
Wow. That's a pretty impressive theory. Now you're getting me excited. I do recall Cameron saying it was a "natural birth" but I wouldn't be surprised if he's just trying to deflect so as to not ruin the surprise. Your theory is novel- I had suspected it was Grace herself. Like, the transfer worked, just not in the manner expected.

No, it's a harsh drama on the cruelty of girls in high school and commentary on social society, the humor is there to hide the dark reality the characters live in.

That description of lols hiding the dark harsh real life reminds me more of Gummo than Mean Girls.
Teen comedy is a perfect description of Mean Girls, it's a step up compared to those tween Disney shows but it's still built like an American sitcom. If you put it inbetween proper teen dramas like The Fallout and The Virgin Suicides it sticks out like a sore thumb and the same with dramedies like Lady Bird and Eighth Grade.
@Rambler To be honest it was the first straight up teen drama that came to my mind rather than it’s one of bestest ones.
Personally I’ve never been keen on Sofia Coppola’s films. I was left unimpressed by Lost In Translation, The Bling Ring and Marie Antoinette however I did enjoy The Virgin Suicides but I wouldn’t bother watching it again.
I never read the book so I can’t comment on it like that. The word that springs to my mind to describe it is hazy as it feels like when you have just half woken up in bed and trying to remember something. It’s that kinda atmosphere to the film which is what I like about it rather than the film itself as I do feel more of the sisters as people would be a good thing rather than mere MacGuffins. It gets the mood of loneliness with the desire to break out done right but as the flick is feeling like you’re a kid staring at the hot girls across the street (because well that is what the film is) it doesn’t punch as hard as it could have done.
I did feel for the sisters though, the second someone would burn all of my music I’d be greeting a noose around my neck too!
Been on a roll with animated movies lately, just watched Lilo & Stitch on Disney+ tonight. It's been years since I've seen this one too. I remember being late to this one, watching it on Disney Channel in the late 2000s, and loved it. I still love it.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
Got tired of waiting for the Mario Bros Movie to get a rental price. So, I ordered the blu-ray+dvd version from amazon. I will finally get to see this stupid movie.
@WoomyNNYes I reckon the Mario movie will be up there with Yellow Submarine, Donnie Darko, The Tree of Life and 2001: A Space Odyssey where the next few generations will come together to watch the movie in awe and debate the artistic symbolism whilst they are as high as a kite.
@jump I could be wrong, but I suspect watching Mario high as a kit will only result in mass panic attacks. That movie is just one big pile of overstimulation.
@Daniel36 In that case they should really not watch Lux Aeterna then. The director heard the story about how the Pokemon anime sent hundreds of kids to hospital so he was like hold my beer whilst he finishes them all off!
