Its as simple as that a casual gamer plays a game just to pass the time a core gamer plays as their hobby . I will take the TV remote from you change it to play my Xbox or Wii then take the bateries out of the TV remote chuck them in the trash hand it back to you start playing my game give you a dirty look and say na what!

@Phle Yeah people play games all the time just to pass the time that's your casuals my Mom during a football game will play plants vs zombies on her phone to pass the time because she don't wanna watch the game she don't go in her room to play ac3 if she did IMO she would be a core gamer . Nintendo wants more core gamers the people who play as a hobby because a core gamer has a way better chance of buying a video game than a non core gamer would

@DaveGX have a lil imagination man I never would have thought a fps and rpg would work but look at borderlands looking at Nintendo franchise its wacky to begin with I'm sure if Mario can play tennis fly around in a cape and raccoon outfit then he must be more than capable of running around shooting a gun or whatever lol

@Pierceton it could happen you never know I just don't want the focus to be on multiplayer that's not what metroid is about I grew up playing that game I don't want it getting any worse than what it already has

A casual gamer is someone who plays games to pass the time a core gamer is someone who plays games as their hobby. Doesn't matter what kind of games you play

@Metal_Slugger supposedly the Wii u's CPU is about on par with the N64 let's all just put our Wii Us in the microwave and just get it over with its doomed

@Scollurio $600+ would be a big big mistake for a console I don't think either Microsoft or Sony is that stupid at least I hope not but who knows. And if that is the case I will be going back to PC instead of Xbox because let's face it that's all the Xbox is a watered down PC

I can care less regardless I'm getting the next box I'm sure anyway unless Microsoft does something stupid funny thing is this article tells me more about some of these developers than about how lackluster the Wii u's CPU is I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo out sells the competition again

Oh also the game pad is perfect lightweight and the buttons are nice and clicky how they should be and I haven't had a single problem with the touch screen not working

People are just nitpicking for the most part I just read an article how the Wii u is trying to be a I phone lol not an I pad or anything but an I phone and that the game pad is a clunky mess and contributes nothing to gameplay and the touch screen doesn't work properly. So I say all this is BS the fact that black ops 2 looks amazing looks a good bit better than the Xbox version and also running at 60 fps and also the fact that its just a port on a new system speaks for itself so case closed go whine somewhere else

@Slapshot how is Wii u not next gen ? If it isn't I guess the Wii wasn't next gen either considering it was almost the same as the cube power wise

@hamispink it won't be mark my words do you really want to pay more for development cost also your TV can only do so much at the moment with 1080i I'm sure the next box and ps3 will have better graphic capability but not by much. Nintendo has done that in the past and where did it get them Sony also with ps3 and where did it get them the thing was $700 when it came out look at the vita situation. The Wii was severely under powered it was basically a GameCube the Wii u on the other hand is a step above the ps3 and 360 not at the same level

We all should know by now there's gonna be some problems with a bran new system I went through maybe 3 Xbox 360s when I first got mine (rrod)so this is nothing I'm sure Nintendo is gonna work all this out

What about people with no internet at all some people don't even like online gaming . I agree it should have been ready right out the box but I think this way they were able to get all the systems out before the holidays

@retro_player_22 dude its common knowledge not to interrupt an update on any device. I understand your frustration but anyone who forced closed the Wii as this was taking place I don't feel sorry for you if you had bad luck and lost power that's a different issue. Trust me I wanted to run it over with my car because it kept kicking me off like every 5 min .

@retro_player_22 dude as someone previously stated it was done for the reason to have it out before the holidays and having the connection problem to the server like I had and almost everyone else isn't going to brick your system turning it off in the middle of the update and or losing power during it is a different story

@Kagamine mine did that over 20 times it took me over 2 hrs for the update I think that was just Nintendo servers having problems with everyone downloading the update all around the same time

@Ren dude I own ps3 Xbox360 and use to game on PC I've had pretty much every gaming console ever made at one point or another and I'm loving the Wii u especially now that I can game and watch some football games on TV at the same time not to mention the Wii u controller feels perfect I see nothing but good things in the future from the Wii u. I have to say I'm impressed and if graphics are your thing you shouldn't be gaming on a console in the first place
