From the infograph the non-retro games you have are State of Mind, Hover (I really want this one, it's Jet Set Radio meets Mirrors Edge), Rime, Yooka Laylee, Rogue Trooper Redux, Perception, Unbox, Portal Knights, Snake Pass and more. You don't need to like retro games to like indies.
@jump I think you could argue Yooka Laylee is retro because it is based so heavily on Banjo-Kazooie which itself was a N64 title. But the rest I agree with.

I used a variety of techniques to come to this conclusion. I channeled my inner Sherlock Holmes and used my mind palace to study a variety of sources simultaneously to make this discovery. Either that or I googled it and found it on polygon.com.
"When can we expect reviews of the Switch?
The review embargo for Nintendo Switch hardware lifts at 6 a.m. PT on March 1. Nintendoâs review embargo for the systemâs marquee launch title, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, lifts on Thursday, March 2, at 3 a.m. PT."
GAME suddenly starts cancelling Nintendo Switch pre-orders
For whatever reason, there's been some rather disgruntling news as the UK gaming store, GAME, has started cancelling some peoples' pre-orders.
Considering the Nintendo Switch is only a couple of days from release, this has unsurprisingly been a huge disappointment for fans and especially those who pre-ordered the device on day one.
The reasoning behind this sudden effect is unknown. It's possible that it could be a system error, or perhaps it's the case that GAME bit off more than it could chew and kept accepting pre-orders despite not having the stocks to fulfil requests.
In some cases it looks like only some parts of the orders are being cancelled, like the console but not the game or accessories. However, GAME has yet to reply or release information about what's going on.
So if you've bought from GAME, give your order a quick look-over to be sure nothing's gone on. It's better to be safe than sorry.
GAME suddenly starts cancelling Nintendo Switch pre-orders
But on the flip side one or two lucky GAME customers have just been informed 100 times that their Switch is on its way and the money has been taken out of their account.
To bring things back to Indies for a second though (before Zelda and 1-2 Switch reviews swamp everything later this afternoon).
When an indie developer has a really clear objective and they focus on that objective exclusively I tend to find they're great games to play. Not necessarily long experiences but very fun and "better" than some bigger games. I loved Thomas Was Alone for instance.
Personally I'm far less enthusiastic about games that state their ambition is to be a "spiritual successor" to "game X". I just think they rarely understand exactly why the original developers made the decisions they made or why the game was actually successful and, to top it off, they don't even have the authentic nostalgia to lean back on. You end up with a game that looks superficially similar but ultimately, however good the game is on its own merits, they tend to feel a bit soul-less.
Though it's such a broad field that isn't always the case. Yooka Laylee looks fantastic and I've no doubts about them because it's a very talented and experienced team. Likewise Bloodstained and a few others.
On indies in a more general sense - I think underplaying them, saying they won't/can't sell consoles is a big mistake. Minecraft was/is an indie and it's the biggest game released in the past 5 years. I think the "next Minecraft" that upends the industry is far more likely to come from a tiny independent studio than it is from EA, Activision or Ubisoft. So it's great that the Switch seems like it's going to make good on its promise to be the natural home for those games.

@StuTwo We've got one more day to wait for the game reviews unfortunately,11am UK time tomorrow they will go live. The hardware review however will be up in 30 minutes from now.
From what I've read, hardware reviewers will have early access to the online features so we will hopefully see how the E-shop looks.

I'm not saying they're all bad. I got a lot of hours out of games like Stardew Valley and Minecraft. There's just a constant onslaught of indies, and because so many come out all the time, the vast majority don't really appeal to me. Some are definitely good, though.
