Topic: What Time Is It?

Okay ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! What time is it you ask? Well all things algebraic...It's Adventure Time!

This little hobble in space and time is a jovial little place where we can discuss all things Adventure Time, Chowder, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flap Jack, Invader Zim and those kind of toons.

Err...umm..why are you standing there with your jaw hitting the floor poncho? Lets get down to business, after all we've got an adventure to embark upon.

Might want to change that topic title. Everyone is going to think you don't know how a clock works.

Awww....I was hoping you were going to say it was Vader time.

Anyway, I've don't watch those shows but Adventure Time gets +1,000,000 stars for having John DiMaggio do voices.

So this is about Cartoons? Or rather the cartoons you like? Good to know. I'm gone.

Err...no. You can talk about all the cartoons you guys like. It's more of a give and take kind of thread. Although I hope we can focus on more "quirky" and "Retro" kind of cartoons like Invader Zim or Cow and Chicken.

Please man, you're making me feel old.

The last cartoons I really liked were Top Cat, Swat Kats, and something about an octopus.

Top Cat's about a bunch of cats that live on the street, who follow a leader of the group named "Top Cat", how leads them on different crime sprees from simple robberies and connings, to complex scemes, like...actually I don't have a good one for this. And of course there's a police man to stop them all. Think of it as Yogi Bear in the big city. Sure, what they're doing is wrong, but Top Cat is so charasmatic, you can't help but sympathize with them.

SWAT Kats is basically Bat Man. With cats. You have two guys who work in a Junk Yard who used to be top aces for the defense forces. They dress up, have a bunch of cool gadgets, a cool jet, and they save the city. Now as much as I love 'em, T-Bone and Razor are not as cool as Bat Man. Not even close. But they're still really likable characters. With that said, there's a lot to like about this show. The Music is great and really puts you in the mood; the varied enemies and plots are actually pretty interesting; The Gadgets are cool, the side characters are memorable, and while I'm by no means a comic expert, I feel as if the visuals make it feel like a comic. Really, it's a very cool show, very well-done. I can't believe I never watched it as a kid, I would've loved it. Instead I watched it front to back when I was 16. Not the coolest age to watch cartoons like that, but better late than never to enjoy an old classic.

I'll have to get back to ya on the octopus one.

Man! Those shows seem incredible. I'll check youtube and iTunes for them. And yes, please get back with me on that elusive 'Octopus' show. I'd love to know more about it.

Squiddly Diddly! That's what it was. Though it was apparently part of Atom Ant and Secret Squirrel. I loved those shows, but I can't for the life of me remember anything about Squiddly Diddley other than it was about an Octopus that lived at, I think an aquarium, and he was always accidentally causing trouble for The owner of the Aquarium (?). I'm sure the Wiki page I linked should explain things better.

Also, I'm tempted to pick up SWAT Kats on DVD, but that's well over my budget.

OHHHHHHHHHHHH! Yes, I've seen Squiddly Diddly but never really was I able to watch it. Still, I'll try and download it to my iPod Touch and then I'll get back with you and let you know how I liked it.

You can't get them on iTunes. I'm really befuddled by your insistance on using it. Do you have Boomerang? You can catch it there.

Okay, so no I don't have Boomerang. All I've got is Hulu and iTunes. We don't have television at all. T_T

I miss the old boomerang.

Here in latin america, they changed it from "old school, familiar toons" to "RADICAL! teen soap operas! YEEEEAAAHHH"

Oh that's....odd.Well, I guess there's always Youtube then. At least for episode 1 and 22. The rest you're kinda outta luck.
