Apparently it's revolutionary because it has a keyboard, meaning you can type on physical keys while also using a tablet.

That's so revolutionary that I was doing it two years ago on my first generation iPad.

Also, it's ugly.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. How many times is it now that Microsoft has decided to be late to the party against a new technology incumbent? Google (Bing), Windows Phone (iPhone), Surface (iPad).

Ballmer is clearly nuts.

Post a picture of the tablet, come on man!!!

They need one to go with Smartglass, that's all. Don't be surprised if we start seeing bundle packages or at least discounts for purchasing both a Surface (stupid name, btw) and a 360.

I never have wanted a tablet, and this sure doesn't change my mind.

What's the point, exactly? No one loves Microsoft so much that they're going to choose it over any other tablet because it has a keyboard.

But yes lets not let anyone else try to get into the market brcuase there is clearly a market leader. Thats like the opinion opposite of anyone who truly lobes tech. And who gives a sunflower if Microsoft was late to the market. The zune was a better device that. The ipad and as a consumer thats all that matters.

It looks nice, to be honest.

I'm not into big tablets, but I would get one if I was given the option.

But then what's the point of the real Keyboard? Just for when I'm sitting down at a table or something? I got a laptop and a desktop for that stuff, man.

This is what it does differently. And what it does differently sucks. I got plenty of other options that I'll likely go with, unless it can somehow produce a better mobile version of Adobe Photoshop for a good price.

Ok tablet like... I guess if it isn't a tablet then people can't say Nintendo copied apple like they did at E3 last year.

Because a lot of people only want one device and the keyboard is optional.

Tell that to the tons of people I know that use ipads with blue tooth keyboard or carry the asus transformer.

Oh they are clearly jumping on the hyper the form factor but it isn't a tablet in the same sense this a d the ipad is. I cant take the wii u with me run evernote and take notes and then when done read on my kindle while listening to a podcast.
