Trust me, I wanna. D: But you played alright, and it was our own fault, so... ffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuu
Anyway, we both need to win the next two games, or we're fooked. No more messing about!
You guys have to worry about a team who hasnt been to the world cup in 23 years, while our boys down here have to worry about Slovenia, who has never even won a major tournament soccer game.
I was really hoping our boys would pull a miracle win out of their butts, but by the last 10 minutes or so, I resorted to looking at the clock almost as much as the match itself (I swear I thought I saw it go backwards a few times!) and desperately hoping that the US could hold onto for the tie. It was exhausting, but I'm very satisfied/relieved with the result.
Also, I feel like the US should send Robert Green a fruit basket or something. I lost my head for a bit after the ball rolled in, but even then, I felt so bad for him. Not that I'd wish for it to be un-done, but that was positively Bill Buckner-esque.
@Machu...I sure did enjoy watching that game! While I would've LOVED a win, I'll take a tie. I can't wait to look up the headlines tomorrow regarding Green. How will he be able to look at himself after that slip up ?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!
I feel like replaying USA's goal and adding some Benny Hill music to it.

i'm not proud of how us yanks tied the game, but a goal is a goal (would of posted this earlier but i had to go to work at half time) i personally feel sorry for green... i would kinda like to know what you boys across the pond feel about the matter.
I couldn't believe Greens slip up during yesterdays game. But because of the 1 England - 1 USA score and Slovenias 1 - 0 win today, Slovenia is the leader for the group at the moment. I don't think anyone predicted that.

At first I could stand'em but now I'm getting sick of those Vuvuzelas! It sounds like I'm watching The Amazing World of Bees on Discovery Channel instead of a football match on Globo. I feel sorry for the players because it has to be affecting performance, they can't communicate and some players are complaining that they can't sleep much 'cuz these damn horns are constant. Vuvuzelas = cheering fail.

Well, I'm gonna get 3 hours sleep, and wake up bright and early at 4am to watch the Socceroo's play Germany.

Anyway the horns don't bother me. They're African tradition. If they didn't want to hear those horns, they shouldn't have had the World Cup in Africa.
And you can't tell the people that they can't use their horns. It'd take the fire out of the entire crowd, and make the World Cup way less exciting in that region.
Hooray for Ghana! Not exactly a brilliant finish, relying on two stupid plays by Serbia, but they were definitely playing better and deserved the win more.
The horns bothered me the first game I heard them, but it doesn't take long to get used to it. Of course, if I were there at the stadium, then I'd probably complain, but watching in the comfort of my home on a TV whose volume I control, whatever. The sound is actually kind of growing on me.
Regarding Green, he made a mistake. These things happen, as embarrassing as it is. A goal is a goal. One could easily rewind England's goal and point out a stupid mistake on America's point that led to the goal. If every player played perfectly, there wouldn't be any goals, but a goal keeper's mistake will of course get the spotlight.
My ratings for England v USA Robert Green - 1 Glen Johnson - 6 John Terry - 6 Ledley King - 4 Aaron Lennon - 4 Frank Lampard - 5 Steven Gerrard - 7 James Milner - 2 Emile Heskey - 8 Wayne Rooney - 3 Shaun Wright-Phillips - 2 Jamie Carragher - 1 Peter Crouch - 1 Im not a happy chappy .........my hair wouldnt be turning grey if i was German grrrrrrrrrrrr
