First off; gee it took this site that long just to post this kind of news we already knew about just today?!
Second; I know we all are anxiously awaiting for DSi exclussive cartidges... but hasn't this still been rumored & not yet official!
Third; why would anyone already start thinking about this anyway... Nintendo has to officially give us the word about if it's real or not!
And I end by saying: Who still trusts that stupid Kotaku site or people who claimed their sources about this anyway?! As far I would know; only geeks trust Kotaku! And yes someone had to say it; hate that it was me... but I doubt anyone wants to start this kind of argument already in this comment section!
So PS: Don't trust anything about DSi exclussive cartridges until Nintendo officially announces it!
Must I state the obvious?! SIGH!!!
Favorite Song from The Crow City of Angels: I'm Your Boogie Man by White Zombie Favorite The Crow Quotes: "It can't rain all of the time!" "It's not a good day to be a bad guy, huh?!" "Victims, aren't we all!"
"OMG GUIZ MAYB THEYLL GIV US SUPER SMASH BROS ON DSI!!1! THATLL BE KEWL!!1!" I just know some people are thinking this right now. Other than that I can't wait for this because the size limit on DSiWare seriously restricts the quality of games available for download.
@J-Man already have that amount of space I think. I believe I read awhile back Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box is 2gb.
@irken004 I wasn't being cynical or anything. It's just that Ubisoft typically is the 1st to capitalize on new Ninty tech. Look at Red Steel (Wii launch), Red Steel 2 (WM+ exclusive), Shaun White (balance board) and My Healthy Cooking Coach (dsi camera in a retail ds game).

It hasn't been an issue for me. I owned an original DS - but by the time the DSi was being released, the screen on the original one was scratched to hell and my Mum used to play on it too, so often the battery would be low when i got to it.
I pre-ordered the DSi and gave the original to my Mum. She doesn't mind too much anyway. She plays sudoku. I am glad that I now have a good reason to own the fancy new DSi, though I am a bit peeved that the GBA slot is absent*
I...Guess this is good news? I don't really care if it just another gimmicky game like WW:Snapped. I want them to use the DSi's extra processing power and speed to make games look and sound better.
The new cartridges are suppose to have 2Gbs on it.
Holy...are you serious?! Where did you hear this? o___o That would be astounding, the current cartridges are 128 MB at highest, imagine games that could be larger in size than any PSP games...The sheer amount of content you could shove into one of those. I could understand 256 MB cartridges, but 2 GB seems just too awesome. o.O

nintendo did announce it. what do you think the article is about? lol you didnt read it did you? lol your such a geek
Get someone else to read this for you since it seems like your eyes aren't working: Nintendo's Masato Kuwahara, project lead on the Nintendo DSi hardware, revealed that games playable only on the latest revision Nintendo DS were in the works at this year's GDC.
Here's what appears to be an NA game being released this year. Though it sounds interesting, I help how but notice the cart is 64 Megabits, which is 8MB. Which easily fits as a DSiWare game. I would be 1000-1200 for this game if it was DSiWare, but as a cart, I'll probably skip it.

Looks more like an Eu release, what wish the PEGI ratings as opposed to ESRB. And yeah, I'd prefer this as a DSiWare release than an actual cartridge as well.
@Hardy Can't tell if the game sounds fun or not with the one button gameplay and all. I like the use of dsi tech, but I still rather wait and see how that ghost game turns out.

just to do some research on this particular point to clear things up a bit...
The current DS currently supports cards from 8MB to 512MB
cards bigger than 64MB have a slower transfer rate and are more expensive to produce
most games (including the newest Professor Layton) are of the 64MB variety (see previous point for why)
As for what games should be DSi exclusives... yeah I agree that the camera thing is a no-brainer and could be handy in some games. Something that people seem to forget however is that the DSi has 4 times the RAM, twice the CPU power, more save space and (potentially) larger size games.
With that in mind what games would you like to see that would be better on this "DS on steroids"? I say bugger the camera! give me Pikmin DS, F-Zero DS etc. Start treating the DSi like they did with the Gameboy Color. An interesting take Zelda here, a Wario Land there, maybe some ports of N64 games we didn't expect to see like Ocarina of Time or Sin and Punishment. Also, no handheld is complete with out its own Pokemon games so expect that at some point.
