Topic: Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville

So, Garden Warfare 3 is actually called Battle for Neighborville or something like that. Anyways, I thought I'd make a thread on this, because back when the first GW game came out, I was obsessed with it. Mainly because of this one mode called Garden Ops.

Fast forward to the sequel, and...Garden Warfare 2 sucked. Yes it still had Garden Ops, it even gave us Graveyard Ops and the option to play offline with CPU allies. But, the Ops games were just crap compared to the originals, less memorable music, buggy AI, boring bonus missions. Even those awesome Super Boss Waves that I loved so much were just boring and didn't feel as epic. The sequel in general just felt boring and still had issues even with the offline mode options, everything was unbalanced.

Now the third game was leaked (look for the trailer via youtube, I'm too lazy, lol) and apparently some sites are saying that the game is supposed to come to Switch.

First of all, a little too late there, EA. Second of all...EA. I mean, the first 2 games had microtransactions already, but...I swear, if loot boxes end up being in this, hellz no. Anyways, I'll keep an eye on this, but I'm not biting unless it has the Ops games and they're restored to GW1 awesomeness. Seriously, I'd buy it JUST FOR THAT ALONE.

We'll see what happens, if it never shows up on Switch, then meh, whatever. Or if it's announced for Switch and then cancelled because EA, then, whatever. If there's no Ops games, then I ain't buying. lol

Really doubt it's coming to switch. I know of someone who was in the alpha and Switch wasn't an option to chose from. Also given EAs recent comments I think it's a Longshot at best. We never played the first but had tons of fun with 2. Was essentially my kid's first "shooter". I'm sure we will know for sure in the coming week!

Yeah I don't know anything anymore, you'd think PvZ in general would be a perfect fit for Nintendo systems. All we got was a 3DS port of the original game. Would've been awesome having the first GW game on Wii U, imagine even having some Nintendo maps like Ocarina of Time's Hyrule Field or one of the levels from Mario 64. Ah well...

We can only hope EA is changing and actually puts the game on Switch, and the series becomes great again. lol

@Joeynator3000 Yeah I hear ya man. When its was first rumored a while ago I figured it was a definite for the Switch. Im sure my kiddos would much prefer to play on those but alas EA does what it wants. The guy I know who played the Alpha noticed a lot of small improvements overall so I think it will be solid!

EA can start to show their support by put The Sims 4 for Nintendo Switch.

Eh, screw Sims 4...I can just imagine them releasing the base game and then sell all 20+ DLC packs for like $30 each.

The price of The Sims 4 DLC contents were depend on their date release.
There were a lot of Discounted price (50%) for older release.
I bought 3 in 1 DLC contents with just $25 (buy $25 get 3 dlcs) last time.
Of course, the newest DLCs (Expansion Packs) are still pricey ($30 - $40).
Note, my The Sims 4 is PS4 version.

I hope this is true, Garden Warfare 1 & 2 are absolutely fantastic! I remember playing the living hell out of those two titles back when i had an Xbone, gotta give huge thanks to EA for making EA Access, would've never tried GW. This might be the first EA game in years that i buy day one.

@redd214 yeah, I too would love a pvz garden warfare game on switch, but ea's reluctancy is really hurting the chances. But what they could do is make a spin off on the switch exclusively.

Honestly they should just make Garden/Graveyard Ops its own thing and put it on Switch. If it was just like the original then I'd get it instantly.

...Welp, it was a rumor, and if that leak thing about Overwatch is really a thing...then, no Switch version for this game. Good job EA, I don't even care anymore.

Anyways I'm moving this to Other Gaming or whatever, I might keep an eye on it just in case it ends up being great again.

@Joeynator3000 the 3DS didn’t get a port of PvsZ, it was a DSiWare download/DS cartridge

Which I totally recommend getting because it’s like, a charming full-featured demake.

Eh, I have the original on Steam. lol

Curious for anyone who's given this game a shot - 2 questions.

Can you use cheat codes - and if so, how do you use?
Can you unlock Gargantuar and play as him - and if so, how do you do?
