It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
I think the archive is an absolutely fantastic idea. I've actually found it useful on more than one occasion, too - after following some dead links to information I really wanted, I found it on the archive instead.
Perhaps my favourite internet archive(s) though is the Geocities archives. They take me back!
Takes me back! Web design back then consisted of throwing as many animated .gifs as you could find on a page with as many clashing colours s your monitor could possibly support. It really is great, though - 'web design' as a thing was still in its infancy, and you couldn't really get pre-made templates like you can on blogs and things these days, so people did all their own designing. Some great results came out!
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.
