What dreams and nightmares do you remember from recent memory or when you were younger? Dreams and nightmares have always interested me with how they can be very cool or very weird. I've had dreams where I interacted with Nintendo characters, Disney characters, family, friends, animals, or important people. I'll share one for now.

One night I was dreaming that I was in a small gym, preparing for a race. A referee had a whistle and counted down the three seconds to start the race. Since I always feel like the dream is actually happening, I was ready to go. Then the man said, "Three... two... one... go!" I literally jumped out of my bed and fell on my chest! Yes, I sometimes react physically to my dreams, but it's very rare.

What about you?

What a coincidence. I just had a dream last night. I think I've been watching too much Family Guy

I remember me being with Peter Griffin and Cleaveland looking up at the sky, which suddenly opened up, allowing extremely bright light (UV rays, I suspect) inside.
Apparently the government had had the earth surrounded with a protective shell, with which the inside was camouflaged to look like a sky, against the really bright light. Occasionally, though, they allow select holes to open up, allowing this light into the earth's atmosphere.
Well, Peter and Cleaveland decided to get up on some building to "get a tan" from this light. When the hole closed up, they climbed on top of a building a lied down, waiting for it to open up. When it did, however, they instantly began burning up, skin bubbling, etc., and fell off in a hurry.
As they were laying on the grass, two sorcerer people came up to them and healed them by touching them.

That's all I remember.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

How strange that you can remember what color something is in your dreams...

Has anyone here had a lucid dream (where you know you're in a dream, and you can do just about anything then)?

I thought that was a common thing with most people maybe it's just me.

I have lucid dreams relatively frequently. They're fun when you stop panicking about how you're going to wake up :3

Two nights ago, I had a dream that I was inside Ridge Racer 3D. When the countdown said "GO!", the other cars zoomed past me. I realized that I was only a passenger, not the actual driver. I shouted, "Ridge Racer! Riiiiiiidge Racer!" Quite an odd dream.

I'm back (for the moment)!

You literally shouted out Ridge Racer?

I don't think remembering colors in dreams is strange. You dream in black-and-white? :S

@WaveBoy: Same with me when it comes to lucid and sleep paralysis. Its cool when you know you're lucid dreaming cause you can do whatever you want.

Sleep paralysis sucks because, as you said, you can feel it coming and if you're not prepared, it can be real scary. I have hallucinated a female translucent blue entity suppressing me when I was younger and when I tried to move or scream for help, my body didn't obey. Nowadays, I only get sleep paralysis if I'm completely exhausted physically, but I'm more prepared for it when I feel it creeping up on me.

I have a fear of heights, so I also hate falling dreams, but the ones where they start at your feet and it feels like you're being pulled down are the worst. Luckily, I haven't had any of those dreams in years.

What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.

I always get Lucid dreams once in a while and they're definitly the best! Because sometimes if you think hard enough you can actually fly, alter things, do crazy things you wouldn't dare to think if you weren't having a lucid dream and yadah yadah. And yes, flying in your dreams does feel incredibly realistic and it's absolutely amazing. And what the frick, I usually always remember colors from my dreams. If it's a crazy vivid purple sky, or super bright aquatic waves, rose pedals ect ect.

Yet I also get sleep paralysis here and there. Aka the old hag syndrome....They're scarier than almost any nightmare I've had.
You're basically half awake in the real world, and half asleep....Yet you can't move your body. And you can usually sense an incredible amount of fear in you when it's about to happen, and when it does happen....Well for me I usually hear a voice, as if it's some old hagered demonic women and it's either calling my name or giggiling every several seconds....One time it was poking at my back, it felt incredibly real and you wouldn't believe how scared I was. And most of the time It usually feels like it's sitting on my chest, or my back . The best way to wake up from this is to try and shake your head around, it always takes me around a minute to get out of it. But when I do wake up, and if I slowly drift off to sleep again i sink right back into the same scenario!

I once had a night plagued with the same nightmare. It was a one-second nightmare. In the nightmare all saw was darkness, and then all of a sudden a T-rex would appear and all I saw was teeth like it was about to eat me and a terrible roar...

And then I would jolt awake.

Every time I fell asleep that night, I would be shocked awake by that same horrible nightmare. It was awful.

Something like Tristenj's:
I've had a dream where I was walking through a forest, lush green foliage and big tree stalks towering above my head. I kept walking deeper and deeper into the forest when I heard a loud bang behind me, I started walking faster and the loud noise started getting louder and closer. I ran towards the end of the forest and stopped by the edge of a waterfall, a massive T-rex came out of the forest and swiped with its tail flinging me off the waterfall, I started falling... I then woke up.

Weirdest thing about dreams, if you've ever going to be put into danger or you're about to die, you instantly wake up.

I'd dreamed about being stuck in this city where its constantly night time and zombies, vampires and ghosts crawl around the city... I was running through the town centre with a mob of zombies running behind me, crawling up and jumping off the the buildings... I woke up when I saw a whole host of zombies, vampires and ghosts in front of me.

I never usually have "dreams", more nightmares than anything else to be honest.

This happens to me a lot when I'm stressed out because I usually have bad, emotional dreams, like family members/friends dying or betraying me, when I'm stressed.

But only 2 of the 60 people came to the opposite...
Then was I, the last one...
I stepped into the water and saw 10 FOUR meter long piranha's swimming to me (probaly the fathers xD)
And when the tried to bite me, i woke up and cried...
