I always say my parents should've programmed their children to be born on the 13th and 14th.

That way including their marriage anniversary on the 12th, they would've saved tons of money on parties.

Get this, Mother's day and my dad's b-day are on the SAME day next year!

Get one thing that will be useful for both.

I'm completely withdrawing from a lot of online Nintendo discussions.

It's just become mentally draining.

The constant back and forth screaming about Pokemon ever since it was mentioned. The constant moaning about the 3DS simply existing. The Wii U ports that "Are a slap in the face to Wii U owners and overpriced and no one wants these" comments. The Virtual Console screeching back and forth clashes, the Online service, cloud saving, backups, controller problems, specifications, complaining, complaining, complaining endlessly.

I'm tagging out. It is genuinely exhausting to even just read all the comments. Even on NL the comments are just clashes back and forth and it's just....stop.

Suck it up. Play what you can afford, play what is offered to you. Just...shut the hell up.

Seriously though, ignoring problems is almost as bad as being overly negative. Nintendo is nowhere near perfect.

@Mew Nintendo is nowhere near perfect but I cant keep finding myself in overly negative situations with everyone at each others throat because of different opinions anymore.

I'm well aware of the irony too. Or coincidence. Whichever. But that's not the point.

Sometimes you need to step away from the madness and from the second the Switch has been a thing there has been this never ending argument about every aspect of it.

I mean for Gods sake people still get angry if you call it a home console or a handheld!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't mind criticism because no company is perfect, but the hypocrisy is what gets me. Some of the same people who hate the Wii U ports didn't support the Wii U.... So it's like yeah, whatever. Looking at sales for MK8D and early numbers for Tropical Freeze though, these people are just a loud minority.

Regarding the online service, yeah people were asking for the al a carte style for years and we're finally getting it....But now it sucks. Then of course there's people whining about Nintendo adopting the paid online but everyone supported it when Sony did it(which they could've easily not have like they didn't support Microsoft 's early visions of the Xbox One.) So yeah that ship sailed almost 5 years ago.

@KryptoKrunch Do you know if Nintendo always had this unpleasable fanbase? I used to be part of the PS Vita community, and (at least on Reddit) everyone there was generally nice and helpful. But when I joined the switch community, I've noticed this aura of bitter disappointment that just shows up everywhere and leads to constant complaining, arguing, and just general negativity.

False. This is a new development in the past 10-15+ years or so.
It's just another symptom of how the internet, social media and all that jazz have made people even more insufferable than ever.
