Topic: Microsoft buys out Skype

I'm not sure if this is a repeat thread on this topic but I searched and nothing came up about it so... here we are.

Anyways, on the news today all I heard about was Microsoft buying out Skype to rival Apple with their real time app on the iPhone. Microsoft will then implement this into their phone. But what could this mean for Skype? Will it still say free or will Microsoft charge Skypes current userbase?

What do you guys think about this? And if you guys have already heard, how do you feel about it?

They better not charge. I will no long use the service if that happens. If I know them eventually they will charge!

What's it doing in 3DS? Surely its General Discussion. But if the mods want to delete this one, that's fine by me.

Microsoft said that they'll help out Skype with non-Microsoft based projects etc. bnut nothing about what Microsoft are going to do with it or whether they're going to charge or not.

I think I read somewhere Microsoft are already planning to buy out Nintendo so that they can go full frontal on Sony.

I'm actually kind of glad that they did this. Apple was probably going to buy Skype anyway.

It seems everyones ganging up on Apple. Nintendo call them a threat (I thunk) and Microsoft bought out Skype so that they can get a one up on Apple. I wonder what Sony are going to do... right after their service is back up lol.

As I mentioned before, why the hell is it in the 3DS category? It has nothing to do with the 3DS.
