Topic: Making a game review blog?

I'm thinking of creating a comedic retro review blog, but I'm not sure if this is worthwhile.

Are game reviews blogs and such still used today? Or has reviews pretty much moved over to video medium?

The retro scene is of a healthy size, but still somewhat niche and 'goes against the flow' of most of the industry. If you're hoping to make an impact and develop an income from it then your content will have to be pretty unique and outstanding, and you'll need a promotion strategy, but if you just want to try it for the enjoyment of doing it then just crack on, but don't expect to get many readers.
