Topic: Have you ever heard of a Band Called Blind Guardian?

Hey there, Yesterday i played the game Sacred 2 together with a good friend and we did the quest where you have to get everything ready for an ingame concert
as a Fan of that Band i knewed the lyrics of the song ^^ so my friend told me he has never heard about blind Guardian

They are Popular all over the world (they even released an album Tokyo tales from their concerts in Tokyo
the are known in Germany, UK,France,USA and Mexico.

So now my Question who knows the Band here on the Forums?

I want to see how popular they are really, because their music is amazing

@killer - blind guardian's awesome...actually saw them live a few years ago and loved them.

I'm not huge into most of the metal subgenres, but Blind Guardian, Opeth, and Mastadon are all phenomenally talented and worth a listen, imo

With all these band threads around, can I start a The Killers fan club? Sure they're not obscure or nothing, I just really like their music. Ooh, or maybe an Anamanaguchi fan club! They're my new love right now! It'd fit with the theme, too.

This, minus all the sarcasm. There's just too many bands out there to be starting threads about obscure bands.

I think you can @Mickeymac ist an forum about general discussion so it should be possible to talk about Favorite Bands and by the way we all should promote Rock its an amazing music style, i love all sorts of rock Heavy Metal, grundge,Death Metal, Hard rock.

Ouch. I'll have you know that I liked most of the suggestions there. Sure, there were not many metal tunes, but then again, I expressed that I don't care for metal.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go make an Anamanaguchi fan thread.

I wouldn`t call Blind Guardian obscure. They`re one of those bands that not everyone notices, but you swear you heard one of their songs when someone points them out. Also, there are people who are into that sort of music and Blind Guardian is fairly popular in the right groups.

@Ravage jepp your fully right, a good friend of mine told me a few years about this band because i love heavy metal and hard rock, as i listened to their music i bacame instantly a fan of them and i alway watch their live performances (for example on wacken 2010) wacken= its the biggest heavy metal concert in germany even ozzy osbourne was there ^^ and blind guardian allway rocks the show same as slayer does

i like them because they make everything, accoustic, rock, bards music so its a song for everyone ^^ and by the way i alway prefer smaller rock bands because they make music they want and not only for money like acdc,metallica they like their music and never use playback, their songs always sound different when they perform it
