There is currently a 72 gaming marathon at GametoAid.org in Adelaide, which is raising money for World Youth International.
"WYI is family-driven and has been supporting children globally since 1988. The players hope to raise enough money to fund the construction of a medical clinic in Odede, Kenya. “Our goal is to provide education, health care, and specific trade skills to young women and men,” said Terry Hoey, WYI Manager. “Once they complete their studies, WYI will assist to re-immerse them back into their communities and help them to establish their own business.”
The money raised during the Mario & Friends Marathon will be used to complete the construction of a medical clinic in Odede, Kenya, its benefit extending to the population of the surrounding district (about 10,000 people.)

You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
It's taking a bit yeah. But it can't be worse than Donkey Kong Country.
