Topic: Feature/Dumbphone or Smartphone

I own a dumbphone. Pantech Impact. No plans whatsoever to get a smartphone after my contract ends in April.

Opera Mini with unlimited data for $10 is win.

Smartphone. I find it useful.

I have a dumbphone... I can't say that it's better than a smartphone though, just what I can afford.

Definitely Dumbphone, but it's all I need.

I have an HTC Desire, so that would definitely be a smartphone.

Dumbphone. All I need to do is text and talk. Not all that useless garbage that they advertise on TV.

As long as I can text and make phone calls, what else do I need my phone to do? I don't want a mini-computer in my pocket alerting me to weather updates and telling me someone just replied to my Facebook page. However, I don't actually use my phone anymore and I haven't topped it up since last year, it's boring and annoying to use, I'd rather actually talk to the person face-to-face...

So I am in the no-phone category.

I've got a dumbphone, I can call if needed, and my friends can text me if they want.

Smartphones are def. not garbage.

Me, personally, I don't need it. As zez says, it's the one I can afford and I use my phone for calling and texting (the latter I do most). Currently, I'm using my phone to get online here and other places because of the sucky situation I'm in.

I'm surprised dumbphones are getting progressively better on the tech side. It's sad that they sacrifice what's most important in a phone: Call quality.

And I don't like many touch screen phones, so a qwerty keyboad and preferably a clamshell design is what I look for.

It's nice to have a smartphone- my brother has an iPhone4 and it's cool.. but I'm in no need for that and the price that comes with it considering other priorities and my video games :3

I have a dumbphone, which is fine by me. The only thing I ever use it for is to make calls anyway. I don't even text. And I have portable gaming systems if I want to play games on the go.
