Ghana was so unconfident with their ability to defend in extra time. They went down like a bunch of pansies the last 20minutes. They deserved a few yellow cards for faking but the referee allowed it. I couldn't understand why only 1 minute of stoppage time was added at the end of the first extra time and only 3 minutes added at the very end; Ghana obviously wasted a good 5-10minutes by getting stretchers onto the field multiple times just so the "injured" player could jog back onto the field.

England is in big hole (only 2-1 but this is Germany we are talking about) and I don't think Ronney gonna get you English fans out of this one. (And the English fans begin to flame me and possibly all North Americans on NL for speaking the turth)

Well, maybe so, but he's not without a point, as overstated as it may be. The guy tries a bicycle for absolutely no reason when no one was around him to require such a hasty clearance, falls on his back as should be expected, and he needs a stretcher? Didn't even look like he hit hard. He caught himself with his hands a bit, and it was a pretty short fall. Then they make a substitution later that set no records for speediness. I don't think it's Farfetch'd to think they were up to something less than good.

But I also don't think they'd have made anything of a few more minutes anyway, so I'm not complaining myself.

Sometimes when one gets up in the morning they tend not to think straight and not once did I say I thought soccer was politics. What I did say, was that in some countries it can turn into and/or get connected to politics.

Yea, I got that you weren't speaking for yourself, but if someone in another country thought the moon was a light bulb turned on at night, I wouldn't be any more worried about offending them by offering a more accurate definition. Twisting the game into something political is only taking away from the purity of the sport.

Germany won 4-1 against England.

England played very bad to be honest,but they did score that goal on the top post that was not seen by the officials.
A similar incident happened when France hand-balled and then scored against us(Ireland).

FIFA should be ashamed. They really should be.

I was just watching it and it left with 4-1.

Or even just add one or two more officials for Cup games, Terra. I understand the wish to keep the sport pure and traditional, but when goals are award or denied wrongfully on this grand a stage, I think it's a problem worth compromising for.

Yeah. When that handball cost Ireland the knockout,there was a huge uproar over here.
Protests,rematches etc.

No more emotion? So suddenly the players would not be passionate anymore when they learn that the game's rules will be better enforced? I don't see the connection.

No it won't kill the emotion as many people wish for FIFA to implement it.
This will make matches more fair.

That should have been England's goal out there and should have not been Henry's Handball goal to Ireland.
If there was technology,no problems.

And the only emotion we will get is fighting,protests,requests,making it hard for more people.

That is football and no videogame.
