Second half was much better than the first. Almost a win for SA, too bad for the shot off the post though. Well, France and Uruguay next. Hoping France loses.

@Machu...try to enjoy the game tomorrow...even though England will lose. I may or may not be online over the weekend. I am headed to the beach for the weekend and may not have internet access.
Well, have fun at the beach dude. Don't be too sad when England stomp the US tomorrow. that's it, keep digging Machu
Great game today. I feel for South Africa, inches away from a win, but they did well to get a draw against a good side like Mexico. Both teams have it all to do now though, what with France and Uruguay yet to go. Speaking of which, I really hope Uruguay win tonight, I shall be cheering them on as if they were my own. Raaaaaaaaaagh!!!!
I really wanted South Africa to win, but at least they didn't lose. I hope Uruguay beats France. And I can't wait to watch the US beat England tomorrow.

Now that school's over for the week I can comment on the two games.
The two teams that were expected to win today, Mexico and France failed thier far weaker oppisition today, Uruaguay and hosts South Africa. While South Africa, Uruaguay and even Mexico might be happy with the results, France are left wondering what went wrong, considering that they failed to score aganist a 10 maned Uruguay in the final minutes of the game.
Now for my feelings on the game.
I was expecting a draw in the opener considering South Africa refused to meet defeat but were not good enough to defeat Mexico today. As for the Uruguay France game, like Machu said France shouldn't even be here so I'm more than happy that France failed to defeat Uruguay.
Next up tomorrow Argentina face off against Nigeria while South Korea try to stop the counter attacking machine known as Greece and finally, England will have a shot at revenge against the U.S for what happened in 1950.

The Mexico - South Africa match was fun. Alot of back and forth. And South Africa's goal to open the scoring for the tournament was a thing of beauty.
France on the other hand seems to be gunning for an early trip home... Not that I am complaining. They seemed listless out there. Sure, they had plenty of attacking opportunities, but they failed to really even make any sort of use of them. Should be interesting for the group moving forward.
Mexico is completely capable of beating this French team and the South Africa - Uruguay match could go either way. After seeing the first matches of the group, I can see Mexico winning it with South Africa and Uruguay battling for second.
I watched the South Africa vs Mexico match earlier. Kinda disappointed at the offsides call but it happens. Otherwise a good game. I havent watched the France match yet got it recorded on my DVR so I can watch it tonight after work.
Looking forward to tomorrows game USA vs England.
