Topic: Why does the report function exist?

I feel like that would get a bit spammy...lol.
Maybe notify certain mods based on the category...?

Well, we would just get the actual user and profanity notifications.

None of those "possible spambot blocked" messages.

I guess dividing the notifications between the mods would be nice too. Some of us could be profanity mods and others user report mods.

Why are you discussing this with regular members? We don't know what's going on in your report queue. Don't you guys have like, secret Illuminati mod sections to bring this up with the forum admins?

I just report something when I see it and that's pretty much it. How you guys handle them is your business.

Well tbh it's a bit odd for a mod to create this kind of thread. Out there in the open. For everyone to see.

And no, we definitely do NOT have a secret mod forum where we most certainly do not make fun of the regular members.

Exactly. This is the kind of discussion you would think would be kept private, right along with your plans for world domination. Or secret cake recipes. Or plans for world domination involving secret cake recipes.

@Yosheel Maybe we can have a mod-only section in the forums, that would definitely be beneficial to the communication.

@Octane and to hold our secret club meetings and organize our roof top parties.

i used to have a forum just for mods. these past years ive had more pleasure of just making fun of other posters where they can see it instead.
makes my heart race faster.

This thread is bad on multiple levels. You guys should really have a secret forum where mods and admins can talk more freely. And while you are at it, remove mods that have not been active for a long time. Their accounts can be hijacked or they can be disillusioned, and trolls with mod privileges isn't something you want on a forum.

It would also be nice to have a list of mods and admins. (and the function to pm them). If I report someone/something I want to have a way to get some sort of feedback if any action has been taken.

I actually think the Nintendo life forums is long overdue for a restructuring. As some examples, do we really need 3 forum topics dedicated to Wii? Is the DS and Wii even relevant except for archiving purposes? A new forum for Nintendo related stuff, where we can talk overall health of the company, theme parks, Zelda timeline, you name it. Stuff that are not really tied to a specific console.

That'll be why you revived it then.
