I have seen Maestro! Green Grove and was interested in getting it but then I saw it on itunes for 59p for ipod touch (graphics looked terrible on ipod). Could someone please answer these questions.
Is it good?
Is it long and does it have a high amount of replay value?
Is it worth getting when it is only 59p in itunes?

WHAT!? It's on iTunes? (checks)

It's definitely worth 59p, but i've gone off it a bit since I bought it on my DSi. I thought there'd be more contemporary music mixed in, but it's good for a bash every now and then.

Additionally, there are only four different tracks, spread out over three difficulty levels (they get longer each time), so it can get a bit demoralising listening to the same tracks over and over again, but them's the breaks with DSiWare. There's plenty of challenge though, but once it's over all you can do is try the levels again.

It's not the best rhythm game I've played, but I don't know how it would play on an iPhone touch - I'd imagine it's pretty difficult.

~FU Nintendo DSiWare Pricing!~

EDIT - I'm reading the reviews now, and it doesn't look good. I suggest you do the same before committing to the iPod version. The DSiWare (and it's comparitively outrageous pricing) is still recommended.

If you want more contemporary music, you'll have to track down the retail version (which is outstanding BTW). Sadly, it's damn rare and expensive. I'll have a review of the retail version up soon.

Considering that this game never got a retail release here in the US, I've been going crazy trying to locate a copy for import. Sadly, I haven't had any luck and I think my best option will be to download the DSiWare version. I would rather own the retail copy and from what I hear the DS version has more song tracks on it that didn't make onto the DSiWare version due to licensing issues. I'm really looking forward to reading that review of yours Corbie. It would make my buying decision so much easier.

If sales are good enough, I think I heard that they are considering releasing the other bits on dsiware and/or for a full US retail DS cart release. If we get a petition of sorts going, maybe they will cave? I absolutely LOVE this DSIware game, and I would LOVE to play the rest of this awesome game

Yeah, iPod graphics for this game are terrible (they just ported the screensize), and the stroke detection is off. I'd imagine that the DSi version is far better, despite the price.

The DSiWare version is fun, but its extremely short.

Like me or Hate me, I will never change, so just deal with it.

The DSiWare version is amazing, but the import retail game blows even it away. Tons more musical tracks and levels. Keep looking Wolf.

@Corbie: I actually already managed to track down a copy of the game on eBay about a month ago. It cost me about $46 including shipping for a brand new sealed copy but it is worth every penny. Absolutely fantastic game!

I can only speak to the DSiWare version - Great download, I too would like the full retail version as well...

I absolutely love the retail game, but if you can't afford it, the DSiWare version is a great substitute. Fantastic game!

I think it's WONDERFUL and worth $5. I'd even pay $8 for the fun and enjoyment I've gotten out of it so far. You guys must be hardcore because I haven't finished it yet, only about halfway through, but I do play it once in a while and since I love classical music I love the game, too. I would love to see other "worlds" out and perhaps a full DS cart release. Has anyone heard of this being possibly released in the U.S.? It's a really great game with HUGE potential!!

Developer said that they'd tried to get it released in the US to no avail. They said it would likely not be released in the US.
