Super Mario Party Jamboree is a fantastic new entry in the franchise that focuses on improving the core mechanics and experience, making for a more involving board game in the process, whilst also polishing everything to a slick sheen. Online aspects and modern stuff like the game's battle pass and collectibles are woven in smoothly, and the various new modes all have their place in a package that also delivers the goods in terms of minigame quality. Jamboree is the best Mario Party to date, so best make sure you've got your invite sorted.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is, in my opinion, the absolute best that the Mario Party series of family-friendly Party Game and Minigame Collection titles has ever had to offer. This game has an absolute wealth of varied content, gives players the option to cut down on the series’ infamous randomness, and has some delightfully inspired game modes, including some excellent online-focused multiplayer play. Apart from underwhelming single-player (never this series’ focus), there’s little to complain about here, and so very much to love. Going forward, I believe this will be the Mario Party game all future titles in the series will be measured against.

In 2023, I got Mario Party Superstars. My family, friends, and I thought it was fun, but after a while it got a bit boring. Just the same old thing, over and over again. So I sold it.
Then Jamboree came along. At first, I was hesitant because of my previous experience with Mario Party. I was happy to find out, it wasn’t like Superstars, but it was JAM-packed with content, (haha, JAM-packed? like jam-boree? ok sorry mb) with really fun minigames. The motion controls were good, the huge character roster is awesome, and seven boards are delightful, filled with fun little details for Mario fans! Only complaint I have is the addition of Jamboree Buddies and their complications seem unnecessary, and two genius modes are single player, online only. However, this will definitely become a regular staple in your house, (unless you make them storm out by stealing their star) and is one of the best multiplayer titles for Nintendo Switch :3 help why do i sound like an advertisement oops!
