About
Sky Rogue is a rogue-lite action flight simulator! Blow things up over land, sea, and air, on an infinite number of procedurally-generated islands. Choose one of a diverse set of aeros and kit it out with a dizzying array of weaponry. Go toe-to-toe with enemy aces or assault giant flying aircraft carriers and battleships, but watch out for volleys of missiles; when you die, you're dead.
Exclusive to Nintendo Switch: DANGER ZONE motion controls! Hold the the right Joy-Con upright and tilt it to control roll and pitch. Hold the left Joy-Con horizontally (L and ZL to the right) and twist it to control throttle.

While it lacks any storyline and the randomised nature of the missions may strike some as lazy, Sky Rogue has plenty of gameplay where it counts. The dogfighting action is superb, aided by excellent controls, a wide range of weapons and plenty of stuff to unlock. The 12-stage campaign mode will keep you coming back for quite some time – thanks largely to the unique roguelike approach where death means losing everything, but the experience gained means a better chance of success next time around – and the ability to rope in a friend in co-op adds even more longevity. Granted, when you do eventually complete the game there's not a great deal to bring you back, but it will take quite some time and effort to reach that point – and you'll have had such a blast you won't feel short-changed anyway.

Sky Rogue is a fun, fast, action-packed arcade-style aerial combat game that performs beautifully on Nintendo Switch. As the title implies, there are some Roguelike elements to be found, particularly the ability to permanently upgrade your growing fleet of aircraft as you progress through the game. Also drawing from that genre, missions are randomly generated, ensuring no two play sessions are exactly alike, though most missions are just "shoot down X enemies" or "blow up X ground targets."
Recommended for fans of flying games!
