About

A new, remade version of the Panzer Dragoon game – true to the original, with improved graphics and controls, that suit modern gaming standards!

On a far, lone planet, you encounter two dragons awakened from the ancient times. Armed with a deadly gun from the past, and the guidance of your armoured blue dragon, you must fulfill your destiny and keep the Prototype Dragon from reaching the Tower – or die trying.

  • Pilot through seven levels, ranging from tropical blue ocean cities to intricate subterranean ruins
  • Fight the Prototype Dragon, who appears together with evil giant dragonflies, frightening man-sized wasps, giant sandworms, and lethal flying battleships
  • Attack enemies who approach from all sides quickly and without mercy, with improved 360-degree controls and lock-on targeting

Panzer Dragoon: Remake is a decent take on an all-time classic that goes some way to modernising it, but doesn't quite nail the landing. Awkward controls and a visual style that's a clear improvement but could still look much better result in a game that’s mainly for fans of the original who are curious to see how it would look with a new lick of paint.

Panzer Dragoon is among the best SEGA Saturn games, and its remake is a welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch library. It is not a long game by any means, but sometimes that's what I'm looking for: a quick, light experience that I can blaze through easily, with a great soundtrack.

Basically what I'm saying is Panzer Dragoon: Remake is a lot like Star Fox, in a good way.
