The addition of gyro controls is just the cherry on top of an excellent job on the part of Saber Interactive. The gameplay here has aged surprisingly well, too, and rampaging across the sandbox of Lingshan taking out human and alien foes with your nano suit technology is just as much fun now as it was way back in 2007. Crysis is easily one very best shooters currently available on Switch.

My first time playing Crysis was right here, on the Nintendo Switch. While we should expect any 2007 game to run well on a platform launched a decade later, we're talking about Switch here - basically a supercharged PlayStation 3, which itself could barely run Crysis back when it was a new game.

Fortunately, the results are very good. Crysis: Remastered looks and sounds great, holding up at a mostly-solid 30fps from start to finish. The interactive environments and enemy AI must have seemed revolutionary in the late 2000s, and the whole experience holds up quite well even today.

I completed the campaign in about 8 hours, and I definitely got my money's worth. I also tried it on Nintendo Switch 2, and the experience is largely the same as the original Switch, though with faster loading times. Recommended to all first-person shooter fans.
