As long as you're willing to put up with some performance hits and the fact that there's no online multiplayer, Cruis'n Blast is a hugely entertaining arcade style racer with incredible set-pieces that has us crossing every possible body part in the hope that it's successful enough to encourage more of the same somewhere down the line.

My first experience with Cruis'n Blast was in an arcade, back in 2017. I was quite surprised to not only see a new game in the venerable Cruis'n series, but an arcade machine with the Nintendo logo on it. It was enormous fun, and I hoped Nintendo would bring it to the Switch.
My enthusiasm was rewarded a few years later. Not satisfied with merely porting the arcade game to home console - a publishing practice that more or less ended decades ago - Raw Thrills has jammed tons of new content into the Switch-exclusive version. There are tons of crazy tracks and vehicles, many of which are zany, fanciful sorts that would never be seen in any other racing title.
Cruis'n Blast is loud, fast, and FUN. Every second that I'm playing, I feel like the developers are cheering me on to enjoy myself!
Not many modern games capture how I felt as a teenager, experiencing high-speed 3D racing for the first time. This one does. Highly recommended!
