Round Up: Limited Run Games 10th Anniversary Special - Every Switch Announcement & Physical

More physical games, nice. And a new Shantae too? I bet Shantae fans will be excited.

Ok, apart from the obvious that Capcom is now succumbing to LRG, I have 2 questions.

1. Why only Capcom Arcade Stadium? Why not make both CAS and call it Capcom Arcade Complete Stadium or something like that?

2. Why the hey they didn't include Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel in Aero the Acro-Bat Collection? It's not like there are a lot of Aero games, not even if you include the SEGA Mega Drive versions. Including those, there are 7 games in total: Aero 1 SNES/MD/GBA, Aero 2 SNES/MD and Zero SNES/MD. It would go up to 8 if they somehow included the unreleased Aero 2 GBA.

Slam City wins the day for me, here! Yes, really 8)

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the glow-up for Night Trap and Double Switch. And it'll be nice to play Slam City without having to swap out the four different game discs.

I do wonder what licensing issues they ran into with that one, though...? I'd imagine Scottie would work pretty cheap, but his signature Nike shoe was also featured prominently in the game. I guess we'll find out next year

Onimusha 2 and Capcom Arcade Stadium are nice addition to the physical library. Also why was Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel not part of the Aero the Acro-Bat Collection?

Wow. Virtually nothing there that I'm interested in. Good for the wallet, I suppose.

Though I do have a tendency to blind-buy games I have an inkling that I'll enjoy, but other than Capcom Arcade Stadium, it's looking pretty bare.

I recognize almost none of these. How about physicals of the Ghouls and Ghosts game from a few years ago, or Shin Sekai: Into the Depths (I think that was Capcom).

Cho Aniki collection is the obvious standout here

Holy crap, never thought I would see a Cho Aniki collection. I had the first game on the Wii Virtual Console, but sadly none of the sequels got dropped on the good ol' VC.

They really need to add the TurboGrafx-16 to 'Nintendo Classics' as well. A lot of good games in that library.

@vio The last time Konami released TurboGrafx games digitally, they did that on the 3DS. In Japan only. They lasted the release of four games. One of them was The Kung Fu (China Warrior) and none of them were PC-Genjin (Bonk).

Did they ever give an update on the planned Castlevania - Rondo of Blood Turbo CD release?

and an update on Superhot after LRG announced it a few years back.

Was disappointed as only Xenotilt & Capcom Arcade Stadium interested me. However the collaboration with Capcom has me hopeful for Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection in the future and if LRG are bringing out collections of weird lesser known stuff like Cho Aniki then a Goemon Collection must surely be a possibility?!

I love the idea of Limited Run but sometimes their implementation isn’t great from what I’ve seen. Bought their Switch release of Dark Forces recently and while the inclusion of a manual was cool the printing on the box seemed a bit low quality so mixed feelings on this release. Would still consider buying more as they cover some pretty cool titles, just a shame about the cost of buying from the UK!

@HammerGalladeBro @Sepenterror both really should have been put together for capcom stadium that would have been a great set but it looks like they’re going to want to charge us for both seperately. As far as zero thevkamikaze squirrel it looks like it is included but oddly not a part of the title. In the showcase video you do see it along with the two Aero games.

LRG not getting another dime from me, but looking forward to DoubleShake whenever it comes out next year.

Also Little Goody Two Shoes is a remarkable visual novel / adventure game for anyone who hasn't played it.

Capcom Arcade Stadium for sure. Aero, Earnest Evans collection as well. REALLY Surprised to see the Slam City game from Sega CD library wow!

@Kingy Lately LRG has been much better with my orders. I tell you who definitely will never get another nickel from me is Strictly Limited! I’m still waiting on 3 pre orders from 2022/2023! It’s absolutely insane!!

@TYRANACLES thanks for the info. When Nintendo Life put up the story they only had the listing of games and the release windows. For Zero they had it listed as a separate release from the Aero collection.

@RupeeClock I believe the original story, like the Aero and Zero confusion, did mention those games but for some reason NL removed them. I remember seeing AVGN on the list and reacting like "****, AVGN has sold himself out to LRG".

Glad to hear about the Fuga trilogy, I've had my eye on them for a while!

Fun fact: right after this conference, the co-founder of LRG put out a post urging everyone to PLEASE buy AA games from literally any other small run publisher. He did it polite corporate speak, but you can TELL his and Josh's divorce was not pretty

It'll be interesting to see which will be numbered releases and which will be retail distribution. Aside from Slam City (bleh), I'm down for owning a copy of almost everything presented. Turbo Overkill especially.

Welp, I quickly lost my enthusiasm for this so called Cho Aniki "collection." Apparently all it contains is the first 2 games in the series and they want 40 bucks for that?! Outrageous!I thought this was an actual proper collection. There's like 8 or 9 more games in the series. No wonder everyone seems to hate LRG.

Fortunately for my wallet, I only see three or four on that list I'm interested in. Solid upcoming lineup thought.

@vio That's less a LRG issue and more what the IP owner is willing to put in one collection.

@joey302 They’re bringing back Prize Fighter which was part of ‘LRG3’ as well, but only for PS4 & PS5 for the moment.

They take risks on these really deep cuts. I hope they stay solvent long enough to port games gamers are more interested in.
