The latest trailer for Pokémon Legends: Arceus has arrived, and boy is there a lot to unpack here.

The new footage gives us our best look at the game yet, showing how people and Pokémon will react to one another in a very early depiction of Sinnoh – the region found within Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Before it was known as Sinnoh, the region was called Hisui, and while some features such as the legendary Mount Coronet will seem familiar, there are plenty of differences to be found.

Your adventure is set in the expansive natural majesty of the Hisui region, in an age long ago when it was rare for people and Pokémon to live in close harmony. In time, this land of Hisui will come to be called Sinnoh—a region you may know well.

Mount Coronet rises from the centre of the Hisui region, surrounded on all sides by areas with distinct environments. Each area is rich in its own natural features and plays host to different Pokémon ecosystems. One such area is the Obsidian Fieldlands, which is resplendent with gorgeous flowers and verdant vegetation—what’s more, it appears to teem with Pokémon that favour meadows and forests.

The trailer also shows off more of the game's battle system, which is fairly different to usual. This time, you'll be able to make use of two versions of your attacks which favour power or speed respectively, and wild Pokémon will actually attack you – the player – if you don't have a Pokémon of your own to battle for you.

Eagle-eyed fans will also have spotted that some brand new Pokémon, including an evolution of Stantler, and some new regional variants known as Hisuian Pokémon were also revealed. We've taken a deep look into each of the newly revealed Pokémon here if you're interested.
