Publisher PQube and developer Inti Creates have revealed that Gal*Gun Returns will be coming to Switch in February 2021.
It'll actually be arriving just in time for Valentine's Day with a 12th February launch, and the teams have shared the opening movie from the game to celebrate. It shows off the Gal*Gun girls you'll meet in-game, as well as their measurements – a crucial statistic, we're sure.
Gal*Gun Returns brings the original Gal*Gun to life for a new generation with tons of brand new features and improvements including game modes, beautiful new in-game artwork, mini-games, full voice acting, and lots of past DLC!
As a reminder, it was also recently revealed that the game will be treated to a special "Birthday Suit Collector's Edition" which will be limited to just 3,000 units. It comes with plenty of extras for diehard fans, including a pair of safety goggles of all things. You can also pre-order a standard edition of the game if you prefer.

Gal*Gun 2 was a lot of fun and I've never played the original so I'm looking forward to it.
Hopefully this is a return to the snappier pacing and more skill-based gameplay of Double Peace.

Looking forward to this, ive not played the original but loved double peace (a port would be nice).
GalGun 2 was a little disappointing, the premise didn't make as much sense and it felt chunkier.
@jcboyer515 In Double Peace, several of the true endings hinge partially on acing final route challenges. I've found, as such, it usually takes a few attempts at a route before I can unlock a true ending for a character. It rewards practice and skilled play.
As far as I can tell, there's no real incentive to play well in GG2, as you seem to be able to unlock anyone's ending by completing their missions and plying them with sufficient quantities of food.
Obtaining an ending in Double Peace was the result of hard work and usually multiple playthroughs. Obtaining an ending in GG2 is what happens when you throw what feels like an entire candy store at a girl's face.
They'd also do well to completely axe the hidden object stages. Nothing fun about pixel hunting.
@jcboyer515 You need maxed out affection, an S-rank on the final battle, AND a fully maxed out meter in the final doki doki segment during some of the routes to get the true endings, from what I recall. So there's definitely a need for the player to ace that final stage of the game, even putting aside selecting the correct responses throughout a route.
It probably also took me longer to get the true endings, because I also chose not to follow a walkthrough for getting them.
