The Witcher

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition is one of the best value games you can buy on the Switch. It includes the full game, both expansions, and all 16 DLCs on a single 32GB game cartridge - meaning you can play it right out of the box.

Of course, cards of this size are obviously more expensive to manufacturer. With this in mind, a listing has surfaced via German retailer Media Markt for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Light Edition, for Nintendo Switch. It's apparently arriving on 16th October, and the price is believed to be a placeholder.

It's hard to say what exactly a "Light Edition" of The Witcher 3 might be, but an obvious guess is that it's a smaller sized game card - perhaps 16 or 8GB in size, with the rest of the game requiring a download. Or could it maybe be a code in a box?

Another thought is that it might just be the base game by itself - without the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions, or maybe it excludes all the extra physical goodies that come with the Complete Edition.

Assuming this listing is in fact real, what do you think a lighter version of The Witcher 3 might be? Share your thoughts below.
