We're sure plenty of you stayed up and enjoyed the fireworks as part of Animal Crossing: New Horizons' recently added second Summer Update, but did you know that there are also some new seasonal items to be had?
Just like the International Children's Day items that appeared back in June, August brings with it several new items that will only be available for a limited time. The first of these is this lovely 'Rodeo-style springy ride-on' which is celebrating the Cowboy Festival. It's available for 2,000 Bells.
Next up are two items in one, both celebrating Cowherd & Weaver Girl Day in Asia. You can pick up a Hikoboshi outfit and an Orihime outfit for 2,500 Bells a piece.
All of these items can only be obtained up until 31st August, so make sure to get them while you can. You can do just that by heading to the 'Nook Shopping' section of the Terminal in Resident Services and going over to the 'Seasonal' tab.

I really like these, I didn't like having seasonal items localised or removed from the old games so this is great!

I noticed them and went and bought em.
Super weird! I spent the whole month of June complaining about Father's Day and Children's Day (two celebrations that in Brazil happen in August and October respectively) and now they do a Brazilian festival (also celebrated in Uruguay and Argentina), but it's a very niche and local rodeo style festival I barely know when it's held, instead of doing something nation-wide like Festa Junina ("June Party"), which could've been an easy wall-flag reskin. Oh well, we'll always have our more famous Carnaval (Or Festivale I guess) to look forward to
@dux Niche, maybe ... but I wouldn´t say they are "very niche" at all .... in fact, the Cowboy Festival (or as it is called here Festa do Peão) is very popular in the countryside of Brazil, many cities in states like São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Paraná, Pará etc. host these festivals from March to August, which a few minor festivals happening on the rest of the year ...some of those festivals have attendances superior to 200k (Barretos, which festival always take place in August, reaches a whopping 01 million attendance).
It is just that many people who live in state capitals closer to the coast are normally not aware of these events, because they always take place in cities closer to rural areas.
Personally, I was glad they took inspiration from something more particular and different than the always-cliched Carnaval, showing that the development team really took some time to search.
@TioRogerio I live in the state capital of Paraná and could barely remember Festa do Peão existed. I'm not against them acknowledging it, I'm against them doing it INSTEAD of doing Festa Junina, which is basically the second-largest Brazil-specific holiday (or at least with a specific regional aesthetic spin on it), bested only by Carnaval. And they WILL do Carnaval (as "Festivale") already, they've done it for years and Pavé was in the Direct.
Actually, to be honest I kind of am against them doing it, ***** rodeos and all (but that's another topic)
