Update (Mon 29th Jun, 2020 15:20 BST): Sold Out and Metronomik have today revealed that musical action-adventure game No Straight Roads will now be launching on 25th August, rather than its originally-planned release date of 30th June.

Despite the delay, Switch owners will be pleased to know that a physical version and a second physical Collector's Edition will be released "shortly after" that date. Other platforms will receive physical versions on day one, but it's nice to see that Switch is getting the support later down the line. More details can be found in our original article below.

Original Article (Thu 14th May, 2020 16:30 BST): Sold Out and Metronomik have announced that No Straight Roads, a musical action-adventure title, will be launching on Nintendo Switch this summer.

The game was previously announced for PS4 and PC, but this new announcement reveals that a Switch version will be appearing on the exact same day, 30th June. It has players making their way through a vibrant world filled with rhythm-infused combat and is directed by Wan Hazmer (Final Fantasy XV lead designer) and Daim Dziauddin (Street Fighter V concept artist).

It gets better still, however, because the Switch version will boast additional features that take advantage of the console's unique functionality:

● Exclusive Assist Mode - Partner up with an additional local player to take control of the Elliegator, a secret alligator assistant who can help players in battle by picking up items, transforming props and calling in useful bonuses.
● 3-Player Co-Op - Played in conjunction with the game’s co-op mode, Assist Mode lets up to three local players experience No Straight Roads’ music-based action together, only on Nintendo Switch.
● Touchscreen Support - Use the Nintendo Switch system’s touchscreen to transform props and pick up items.
● Single Nintendo Switch Joy-ConTM Controller Play - Play through the entire game using a single Joy-Con, or pass the second Joy-Con to a friend to play in couch co-op.

Switch fans will also be able to grab the No Straight Roads Collector’s Edition release, which features an exclusive double-sided vinyl LP with tracks from the game’s OST, a 64-page ‘The Art of NSR’ artbook, official NSR drumsticks, and a presentation box. Nice.
