Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now well over a year old, and what an amazing time we've all had with the latest entry in Nintendo's all-star series.
The gaming giant itself has shared a new video today to celebrate all things Smash, taking a look back at some of the best moments of the past year and a bit. Understandably, much of the video revolves around DLC fighter reveals - we remember reacting in exactly the same way when the Banjo-Kazooie reveal was taking place live - as well as some of the highlights from a number of the game's biggest competitions.
In some ways, it's hard to believe that there's still so much more to come with another six fighters due to be announced. The first of those is headed our way in June, but we're excited to think that we'll be riding the 'Challenger Approaches' hype train for many months to come.
But what about your favourite Super Smash Bros. Ultimate moments? We'd love to hear them in the comments below.

Only bg moment this game had for me was the Infinite Assist Trophy Glitch....also Ridley, King K. Rool, and Banjo & Kazooie.
They must've really had to dig for an even somewhat positive Byleth reaction to feature.
Only big moments this game had for me was the Everyone Is Here, World of Light trailer, Inkling, Ridley, King K. Rool, Isabelle, Daisy, Simon, Richter, Dark Samus, Ken, how beautiful all the stages are now, Joker, Hero, Terry, Byleth and especially Banjo & Kazooie.
I absolutely love Smash Bros. Ultimate, such an enjoyable and fun game. Admittedly, the majority of my favorite moments, come from just playing the game with friends, always so much fun.
As for the actual game, the game announce trailer itself, as well as the Banjo & Kazooie reveal trailer, both got me super hyped.
My favorite moment lets see: I Pre-ordered this game and got it day one and a gamecube adaptor, I brought it home with my friends and brothers were ready to play the game really badly we played it all day and unlocked all but 2 characters but we unlocked the 2 the next day. So what I'm trying to say is my favorite point of this game is playing with my friends and family. I didn't care that much for any of the Dlc because I never really played any game with any of the DLC in it well only the piranha plant and a bit of fe three houses, but I did like the DLC.
Best game ever created.
Thank you Sakurai!
I stopped playing it after a month. It's the same old game. I like it just I don't have the time to put into it because I'd rather be playing newer original games.
No justice, no peace. Release Rex now Nintendo, stop being lazy.
Ha, ha, ha. A plant came in before Waluigi. It still is funny!
@thejuice027 I see your point of view, on the other hand, technically it feels perfect. You can sink in way more hours. But I still see your point.
I just dont get the fascination with this series...... button mashing nonsense🤷♂️🤷♂️
@hbkay
Yeah, one of the greatest games ever created must be "Button mashing nonsense" according to you.
cough you're wrong cough
I lost my marbles when Daisy and Chrom were revealed. Yeah they're just echo fighters but they matter a lot to me personally. Daisy has been my longtime favorite Mario girl and I've never liked Peach, so to see her finally get a chance to shine made me happy. And I have quite a bit of experience with games involving Chrom and he's just a cool father figure that deserved his spot considering he was treated poorly in the Robin trailer for Smash 4. Byleth is also my favorite DLC character so far because Three Houses is my favorite RPG of all time and I love how satisfying it it feels to land that heavy axe attack. Overall, I'm happy to see a game like this please so many people!
My favorite part of Smash Brothers was when I stopped playing it.
I required a much needed break.
Still excited whenever a new fighters gets announced though. I just like to know.
The initial reveal at the 2018 march direct and the world of light trailers were the biggest moments for me. I'm so excited for the Arms rep and all the other fighters from volume 2.
For me, Ultimate came very close to being the perfect Smash experience. The only thing it lacks imo is a more fleshed out campaign, closer to Brawl's or Melee's. Yeah WoL was a lot of fun and a decent replacement, but imagine how cool it would have been to explore side-scrolling recreations of the most memorable locations in Mario, Sonic, Metroid, MGS, Mother, etc. with Ultimate's huge roster. It's a shame there isn't more to do with these incredibly realized characters and move sets besides just smashing. Still looking forward to seeing who else gets announced for wave 2 DLC though
The entire game was basically revealed before launch which was disappointing, we all knew what was coming
Not played it since I unlocked all the Characters in Jan 2019.
Think I'm only keeping it because I collect the Amiibos still.
Video isn't working for me.
Fix Smash Online
@PikaPhantom I know it’s an unpopular opinion but Byleth is my favorite dlc character so far.
My highlights where King K. Rool, Banjo & Kazooie. Daisy was also neat.
My favorite fighting game ever, love the amount of characters and stages. Highlight for me was K.Rool's reveal, though most of the new characters like Ridley, Banjo-Kazooie, Simon and Dark Samus are welcome. Unpopular opinion, but I even like Plant and Byleth after trying them out.
@Xeno_Emblem even though I like the character.... I'm fed up of Fire Emblem characters in that game....
The criticisms are all valid. There are many other characters to add franchise diversity.
The latest Fire Emblem characters have become something of an advertising strategy.... Three Houses hadn't even been on the market for 6 months .... and we got a character? He is not even iconic.
Ironically that's how most of the modern Fire Emblem characters feel like. Corrin and Byleth come to mind.
Same for Hero.... but at least he is the only character that represents the whole franchise.
Could you imagine 7 different Dragon Quest characters in Smash? It's overkill.
This online match I played as Snake and I was getting beat BAD. So I hid in a cardboard box but somehow they still found me. I don't know how but they must have been some highly skilled warriors.
Eh, just a compilation of reaction videos? Good thing they cancelled influencer-based E3.
