We've already been introduced to the 'Rogue Monkey Pokémon' Zarude in the trailer for the upcoming Pokémon movie and it seems that Japanese movie fans who pre-book tickets for the Pokémon the Movie: Coco will be able to get their hands on the beast, in addition to an old favourite. The movie is set for release on 10th July, but according to Serebii.net reserving tickets now will get you not one, but two codes to redeem in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
The first will be redeemable from 17th April to 30th September and will get you a Level 60 Shiny Celebi, the Psychic/Grass-type Mythical Pokémon from Gen II. The second code can be redeemed between 15th June and 30th September and will gift you the new Mythical monkey Zarude, a Dark/Grass-type also at Level 60.
There's no word on if or when we'll have the opportunity to get our hands on these elusive 'mon in the West, although we're certain we'll get the chance at some point. Apparently these codes come with every prebooked ticket, so we wouldn't be surprised to see these Pokémon popping up on Switches outside Japan come mid-April. That is if we haven't downloaded them by an as-yet-unrevealed means ourselves by then.
Looking forward to catching these beauties in your Poké Balls? Reckon that the 'pre' in 'pre-booked' is utterly superfluous and should be excised from usage? Let us know in the usual place.

Sounds good, hope do similar offerings in England.
I’d go book my tickets!....
...if I lived in Japan.
Don't really care about seeing the movie, but I want them cards Nintendo!
@DreamerDC it's gonna toxtricity's amigo, sitting there jamming on electrical and accoustic guitar
@DreamerDC A Ghost/Grass type Ludicolo?
Correct if I'm wrong, but this is the first time in Pokemon history that a Shiny Celebi can be legitimately obtained. A Shiny Celebi has been a dream of mine since Explorers of Time / Space.
I've waited 12 years for this.
Oh man, they're doing digital distribution again? An in-game event would have been infinitely cooler. I'm happy either way, I just miss the glory days of Mythical Pokemon from Gen 4.
@Obito_Sigma Nope, You can get a shiny Celebi via Crystal the virtual console one on 3ds, i got him from that game. Legit.
ps. quote from google to Celebi Is Shiny-Locked No More! With the recent release of the Virtual Console Pokemon Crystal on the Nintendo 3DS, Celebi is no longer prevented from having its Shiny Form. ... You can find Celebi in its Shiny Form in VC Pokemon Crystal
Really hope theres a chance for us in the UK to get these through another method or same method.
How many people will prebook their ticket, then cancel the ticket after getting the vodes?
@Paul1994 @Obito_Sigma yeah I got my Shiny Celebi by soft resetting in Pokémon Crystal (VC).
Took a while. Cloned it a few times with in-game glitches, and gave away a few copies via wonder trade on ultra moon. Good times.
If I have the time after the CTR N-F last GP is over I'll try soft resetting in my Pokémon Gold (VC) to get either a Shiny Ho-oh or Lugia.
@Obito_Sigma You can obtain a shiny Celebei in Pokemon Crystal once you get the GS ball. You'll just have to SR for him
Wouldn't be surprised if they're just given out in code cards at gamestop like most of the past movie event mons
Does anyone know if the codes will work on an NA switch? I have a japanese account for using the japanese eshop so I imagine if I play the Sw/Sh on that account then it should work.
Awesome! I wonder if either are usable in the Battle Tower? I am stuck at the Ultra Ball level of the Battle Tower. Has anyone beaten the Battle Tower, advice?
How exact would I prebook tickets?
