My Nintendo in both North America and Europe is currently offering two new themed wallpapers to celebrate the launch of Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Nintendo Switch.
One is multicolor pattern featuring many familiar faces and the other is a lovely island design. Both will set you back 50 Platinum Points and can be used on either your mobile or computer device. Take a look below:
Both of these wallpapers can be redeemed one time, until 1st September 2020.

And I'll take both.
I'll pick these up Monday when I get the rest of my platinum points.
If these themed wallpapers actually were for the Switch I'd get them. But b/c MyNintendo still won't acknowledge the Switch existence I won't.
Pretty neat! I will always love Animal Crossing themed stuff.
I don't understand how to put them on the Switch home screen. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
(i know they aren't for the Switch)
Why do they always charge coins to get wallpapers?? It's kind of ridiculous
The second one is nice. Usually these wallpapers are way too busy to use comfortably, like that first one. I'll actually pick the other one up.
This is what makes news these days? Where are the switch themes!!
Here I am waiting for tetris99 animal crossing theme
Maybe celebrate it with some themes for Switch... and folders... and an accessible web browser that can run while a game is paused in the background, we all know it's there but just not accessible except for eshop and games that connect to online profiles. I want to be able to check an online walkthrough (video) without having to quit the game, boot up youtube, quit youtube, reboot the game. n3ds and Wii U did it. Yes, I know, it allows for loading in custom code and hacking the system. But dedicated people will always find a way, while dedicated fans and gamers may just want the convenience they get from older systems to be standard in the latest system.
This just makes me want switch themes even more.
How about a theme for Tetris 99?
I got mine from Walmart https://www.walmart.com/cp/animal-crossing/3771622
It's not like there's anything else worthwhile to spend coins on...

@rjejr Agreed
@Shambo dude just use your phone
@TooManyBoxes makes you sound like that "on't you guys have smartphones?" guy from blizzard if I'm not mistaken. Some of us don't have one, don't want one, and / or can't afford all the devices they may or may not want. Besides, I do use my old cheap laptop, but I shouldn't have to use another device to do what is simply locked away but readily available in the same device, and wasn't locked out in previous ones. And that's just the web browser part, not the customisation or the folders.
@Shambo That's true. Guess I didn't think of that. A web browser for the switch would be nice, but I don't think it would particularly run well.
@TooManyBoxes The eshop is actually just a web browser that has limited accessibility (it automatically accesses the eshop web page, and has no address bar). It has been "hacked" earlier and could access some other sites in some ways, but without the proper input. So it basically can display text pages, play video's, log you in,... It won't be the best, but doesn't have to be. In the Wii U days, I often chose my Wii U 's browser over my pc, as I could simply play Youtube on the TV and simultaniously use messenger on the gamepad, or just browse through other pages decently, with one device. The Switch can't have that possibility of course, but pressing home putting a game on hold when you're stuck, checking youtube or a written walkthrough to see what you should do, and pressing home again to simply continue the game could be done back then, and now that the system is actually portable, it would be even greater (for example, not needing to get out of bed when you need to look up something when playing before you go to sleep)
